Nah, he needs to go to AMC as nuTrey.

Or maybe he's too young for Trey. Whatever the case, I need to see him on AMC. All of the dreams I had for Josh were dashed with the unabortion and subsequent murder, so I'd love for them to try that again. ESS as a bitchy Erica fangirl who idolizes La Kane while secretly wanting to take her place.

Let's face it -- 9 months to fill before cancellation was a bad thing. (OK they were filming Feb episode in Dec. -- still 7 months is a long time.) I agree the show was a BIG train wreck for a couple of years before that. It seemed like it got on track last summer/fall until Ben Franklin. I really thought Brad's funeral, etc. was going to give the show another year. After that, I can't blame the writers for just calling it in. Most other shows only had weeks -- EON announced end on Oct. 26 and finale was Dec. 28 -- filming about two weeks in advance, so they had six weeks to wrap the show -- and you figure at least four weeks worth of scripts written so rewrites and 10 new episodes for finale. Frankly, I've been shocked that ATWT has held most of its audience from last year. All of this is just a damn shame for ATWT. The question is who's next and will any lessons be learned or will anyone care.

I think ATWT's extra time should have been a gift to them to tie the show up in a meaningful way. I'm sorry that didn't seem to happen. The show certainly seems less awful now than it did at times over the past few years but that's not much of a compliment. At least GL gave me some things I'd wanted for years, like a Billy/Vanessa reunion. Other than seeing John again, and Lucinda and Barbara getting more story, this year has been a letdown. I can't help wishing they had ended the show with Bob and Kim getting married.

Khan, I meant to say -- there are some old British soaps on Youtube I think you might enjoy. If you want to PM me I can give you the links.

    • The poster said "update", so they were likely following up on their own post on this thread about Pope Francis' funeral.   That is all.
    • This is probably an unfair generalization, but I do say it with affection: I've always thought of Felicia (and by extension, Linda Dano) as "your mother's fabulous but slightly insufferable friend." Sort of a Godmommie Mame, you know?

    • I am loathe to gatekeep but why is the new pope being chosen posted here? RIP In Memoriam thread is for those who have died. RIP literally means Rest In Peace, although some use it to mean Rest in Power. Either way the issue is death.

    • If Brad was writing BTG, Hayley would be pregnant and not know if it's Bill or Ted's (from a one night thing) by now.
    • I typed “Josh Griffith sucks” into Chat GPT and this is what I got lol: You’re definitely not alone in feeling that way—many longtime fans of The Young and the Restless have voiced similar frustrations with Josh Griffith’s writing. Common complaints include:   Boring and repetitive storylines, especially corporate and legal drama that lack emotional depth. Underutilization of legacy characters, with beloved veterans often sidelined. Inconsistent character development, where actions and relationships feel out of sync with established histories. Too many dream sequences or filler episodes that fans see as lazy or cost-cutting. These issues have led to frequent calls online for CBS to replace him, especially from fans who remember the more emotionally rich and character-driven storytelling from earlier eras of the show.
    • I don't see Hayley being the Dupree family mattress.
    • This show has become utterly unwatchable. I can't bear watching Liam's storyline. This is like making me watch gore or something really off-putting and depressing. And it's not about cancer. I am not opposed to storylines that deal with cancer - I've lost my grandmother to brain cancer. It's the way they are doing it. It's so in your face, without any nuance in the dialogue. It's like Bradley is saying - No... here. CRY! CRY! You have to! Otherwise you are not a good human being.  Liam is so done. I'm sorry to say it. This character is dead at this point. And not from cancer, but from BAD WRITING!
