While I am pleased that Henry and Barbara will be together, I don't think they need to get married. I'm not upset or anything, I mean, I never imagined a few years ago that the finale would involve Barbara finding a new love and being happily ever after, but I kind of wish that they could end with the two deciding marriage isn't important. Marriage certainly never = happiness for either of them.

I'm glad to hear Lily and Holden may not be getting back together. My guess is most of the fans who cared about that stopped when Martha left.

It will be great to see John again, and some nice moments with Lucinda. I'm glad that these last few months have had more focus on Lucinda.

The rest, meh...basically a non-story for Tom and Margo. Reid being thrown onto the pile of dead gay characters for no apparent reason other than cheap writing.

As for this:

Other than losing Brad, which is certainly sad, she has never had anything to worry about. They have never known how to write for this character. I just wish Lyla could have come back for the finale. I'd rather see that than see the show trying to make a big production out of Katie's relationship with Nancy, when Nancy has a lot of longtime family and friends who likely won't even be mentioned.

This sounds pretty solid to me. No real surprises or anything, except maybe no wedding for Holden and Lily. But yeah, without Martha, that wouldn't have any impact anyway.

Reid dying...ugh. What-the-eff-ever. They shouldn't have wasted time on this rushed Reid/Luke pairing. I would have been fine with Reid exiting in June or July.

Barbara and Henry...ugh. I wish Barbara would return, realize how harpy and annoying Henry's become in her absence and ditch his ass.

I agree that Goutman is killing Reid out of spite. He can't be happy that a character created by DK turned out to be so popular so quickly compared to his own creations. It is nothing like Kieron dying on Hollyoaks.

Agreed. Katie romance with Chris is dire.

I agree F U C K YOU Goutman!!

A Barbara and Herny wedding...gag me.....Of course they had to kill the most popular character they have had in a long time. Just for a lame ass Noah and Luke ending. Goutman is a coward taking the easy way out! This just says that Luke picks Noah due to the fact that Reid dies. So Noah is his second choice.

AMEN!!!

The only thing I'm comforted in knowing is that had the show not been cancelled, Luke and Reid would have gotten together and Noah would be off the show, where he belongs. As Ruxton said, if Reid does die and we're left to believe that Luke and Noah get back together, it's just a second choice. Cancellation dictated Luke and Reid not getting together.

IMO, Noah wouldn't have left, and he and Luke would have gotten back together again somewhere down the line. I really don't believe much was changed in the Reid storyline for the finale. He was either going to die or go psycho or just leave a sad, depressing sack. If they had any plans to phase Noah out, I don't see why/how the cancellation would stop them.
