Y&R Actress headed to B&B

Na'Vell posted on the Buzzworthy Radio twitter that he has been hearing that Victoria Rowell is headed to B&B,and that he was trying to get it confirmed. Considering who this is, I don't think they would post something that didn't have at least a little validity to them.

If she does come, I imagine it'll only be one short term story arc, the show is bloated right now, and I dont see how could she fit on the show's canvas.

I would gladly exchange her for Nick, Aggie, Rick, Steffy, and Taylor though. :)

Sorry I forgot the question mark at the end of the title of the thread.

B&B has tons and tons and tons and tons and tons of dead weight. If you have Victoria Rowell on your show then keep her as long as you can, and while I know she might make some story demands, honestly, she can't be any worse than most of their writing over the last 10-15 years.

I do wonder why they have basically dumped their other black characters if she is coming on board.

I saw this posted at DR. The thread got deleted, though.

All he did was tweet to VR telling her that there was a rumor going around that she was headed to B&B, and if she could confirm. And that was about 10 hours ago. She never answered back though, lol.

We'll see how things go, I hope it isn't true. I personally would rather see her on AMC.

She's in Africa right now, so I doubt she'll be responding soon. But it does seem like where there is smoke there's fire. She was recently on the cover of CBS SID with them teasing it was possible. Now you have Na'Vell hearing it and we know he *does* interact with people in the know. I really don't think he would mention it unless he thought there was a chance it could be true.

Now B&B does have a huge, bloated cast (that keeps growing), but I think it would be worth it. The only problem is that the cast is so female heavy. Jennifer Garies, Lesli Kay (said to be returning in Sept. with big story), Heather Tom and especially Sarah Brown are all going to be expecting stories. Adrianne Frantz was just brought back (kinda flopping if ya ask me) and now Rowell? Don't know where they would put her or what she would do, but I know Brad would milk the hell out of this. He knows how to build buzz when he wants to. I predict if it happens her story will be huge and for a few months at least she'll be a revelation.

Jennifer Gaires and Sarah Brown are highly expendable. Donna should be dropped to recurring and Agnes needs to leave town.

If Rowell were to come, she'd most likely be paired as Justin's ex who gets involved with him for a 3 week triangle with Donna, before fading off into the background. Thats the extent of any story they'd give her. Either that or she makes a guest cameo as a former model that crosses paths with Forrester

I'm hoping that they would let her write for her storyline. We know Bill Bell don't know how to write for anybody especially black. If she can boost up the ratings to where they come very close to taking over Y&R. Maybe they will let her bring somebody else on.

UGH, why can't she just go back to Y&R?

Dru is much needed there.

And if she went to B&B, would she be playing a back from the dead Dru, or a new character? (I wasn't sure since quite a few y&r characters have gone over to b&b at some point)....If she is going there, I'd rather it be a new character, cause there's no way Drucilla would be hangin out in LA while her daughter just had babies and is dying....Just bring her back to Y&R PLEASE.

:lol::lol::lol:

I'm trying, TRYING not to get too excited just yet until there's confirmation, but its dang hard ... ***sitting in a corner, rocking back & forth, biting finger nails in anticipation, re-reading Secrets of a Soap Opera Diva, all while listening to "Stink of Blood with a Pinesol Chasah"--looking all kinds of crazy*** LOL!

    • It's so jarring seeing the changeover from Sherry Mathis to Louan Gideon.  The vibe, mannerisms, and overall personality of Liza changes instantly. The chemistry Sherry has with both David F and Joe Lambie is gone the second the recast happens.  I wonder how viewers took the news of the recast since you didn't have time in between airings before the change happened. Quinn/Sarah... One overacts (Quinn) and one under acts (Sarah). Wendy of 1985 is a good mix of the 1982 sweet Wendy and the 1983/84 vixenish Wendy.
    • Oups!! I guess when i was doing the editing, i left a part of 3169, too (RTL Lounge airs 2 episodes per day back to back). Sorry about that ! Tonight i ll try to record 3171-3172. If i m not mistaken 3172 is missing from YouTube.

    • I would put Felicia in the 'small dose' auntie category because she means well, but comes on too strongly at times.  In small doses, she would be a blast to hang out with.. but in anything larger than a small... she would be exhausting. I tend to prefer lower key people than people that are always 'on' all the time.  Those people can veer off into energy vampire status pretty quickly.
    • I didn't like the Harry story, but Nazar did have a great introduction. He was probably the highlight of last year.  Now that you mention it, I guess the truly dire stories (Nicole, Harper/Drew/Phil, Nicole) didn't start until summer.
    • thank you all for contributing to the Vault. I am slowly getting towards watching the 1998 episodes

    • I pray⏤and I know it's a big prayer⏤that Noel Maxam is somehow able to figure things out budget-wise so we can stop re-dressing existing sets as "new" sets. I know in apartment buildings apartments can generally look the same, but I'm over it on this soap. The last time he was executive producer was in 2011 when the original Horton Town Square was introduced, and we had some other sets get introduced around this time (likely pre-commissioned prior to his election), but I'm trying to have some hope he can pull this off. Let's [finally] see it.
    • Definitely not the best of RC's breakdowns. I don't know what it says that I could pick up his trademarks yesterday 30 minutes in without even knowing that he did one. There was something more...quirky/boardstroked...about Dani. Though I love the Dani/Nicole scenes, she was just a little too hip?...which made me think back to the episode when she broke into Bill/Hayley's house. Then watching the episode later on, I saw Hayley was being used as a punchline to the more interesting and relevant Bill/Ted scenes (see you all were just talking about how you hoped they got scenes...one thing this show is great at...what people want on this board...they already have the foresight for it. The reason I feel the DNA test will get mentioned @Cheap21 in more detail). And then poor Anita reduced for the most part propping up an album.    Needless to say, not my favorite RC episode. And since we are in aftermath week, I just smh. And barely worth a rewatch. BUT...was there good for me?    Yes. Thankfully, we still got good aftermath beats regardless of the breakdown.   Like I said, I really like the Dani/Nicole scenes. But I love their dynamic. And I was looking forward to the shoe being on the other foot once the SilkPress storyline hit climax. Quirks aside, it did not disappoint. Dani came in, and she came in fierce for her sister. I loved her attacking Eva. And then her being surprisingly introspective about Nicole due to her own experience. No wonder Nicole reacted to her being self-aware. So did I.    Meanwhile Bill and Ted finally met up. I'm kinda sad that we did not get that sooner given the scenes that played out sidepiece in the background aside. It might have been interesting to see more of their status as non-Duprees coming into the family explored.    And of course I can't leave without mentioning Eva vs SilkPress Sheila which was the highlight. Both of them were giving. And SilkPress was just so cold with it. I did love that Eva finally stopped letting her gaslight her. Sad to see the duo break up. But I did love that she went to Ted. So...the next turn begins.   And speaking of turns...uh oh at Kat and Tomas. I'm sure he won't be staying away from her. So most definitely, Kat vs Eva ain't over. It will be interesting to see how it goes now that most people know that Kat was right all along.
    • Nah I enjoyed it much more last year because of the Harry plot that ended during that time. Nazar being introduced and them. But this time it is so lame and nothing I like forward to anymore and I’m one of them long time fans. Of course I would be upset if they would cancel it but maybe take a year off or two and return refreshed
