They were my best friends in school. And still are. I love them, odd thing too since blondes are soooo not my type at all.

When maxie is well written Storms excells. See her and lulu talking about her and johnny were locked in the elevator, her going off on felicia, etc. She, much like Laura, plays exactly what is written. They dont add layers, and with the [!@#$%^&*] writing on GH i dont blame them.

In the case of JMB she is like Jen Landon and Billy Miller. The praise went tp their heads, they got lazy. They are actually great talents, they are just lazy. But really, so are their elders so what else can we expect?

THANK YOU. I will add my Severe Eyerolls  to yours. Nobody trash-talks Cordelia and gets away with it!

JMB was... passable when she started. A lot of people were wowed by her physical resemblance to Genie Francis. She had some good lines but when they started putting her in frontburner romances (Dillon doesn't count, that was strictly summer-teen-filler), it became clear what her limitations were. Then came Frons's announcement that Lulu was the new Carly, and JMB just started mimicking Wright's shoutiest mannerisms. The fact that Berman's features are now immobilised with botox means it is even harder for her to emote. And thus she comes across as an angry little doll.

See? :) I don't need an interpreter when I talk to JP.

My post was tongue.gif not rolleyes.gif. Cat, obviously, thought it was rolleyes.gif.

By the way... Who's trashing Cordelia?! blink.gif

JMB is also a very, very cold actress. It's actually a bit offputting to watch her. That's the biggest issue with the "stars" in today's young soap actors. They are just about unwatchable. Billy Miller has ruined so many important scenes, especially with the Colleen story, no wonder they can only write in his extremely limited range.

No, you really dont.

And i dint know why they tought you were bashing Cordy, you are pretty much on record with cordy love.

Very true. She is also very asexual, much like KMC

For the record, I did not think you were bashing her, Sylph. I just wanted to make sure, once her name was mentioned, that nothing of that sort was appear in the future. Gotta protect my girl, yo!

Nobody. 'Twas just a WARNING. In case anybody feels the urge to do so.

I get that I over-reacted. But sometimes you can just like character... just because you like them. No personal history involved in that decision. C'est tout!

Yes. And that's why I cannot warm to her. Because she cannot warm to her character. She can be rather robotic, just spitting out the lines.

There are less proficient (and less awarded) actresses out there who love their character and give 100%. Many times this lifts them in my estimation. Because they can get better as a result of their commitment to the character.

And yet they keep passing her off as some hot passionate leading lady, which they never did with KmC. Even then KmC has had some chemistry with all of her love interests and they were all popular pairings -- Lulu has never had one popular relationship. The more "Lante" are shoved at viewers the lower the ratings seem to go.

The dead-eyed love scenes and the scenes where she only remembers her relatives long enough to shriek at them are just awful. She more than anything else, aside from Luke himself, epitomizes the death of the Spencer family.

Ha, twitter has taken over. And i have been very busy covering soap events. (I am honestly not trying to brag, its the truth)

I also have chosen to embrace the good and move beyond the bad. People on soap boards like to harp and obsess over the bad.

I dont know about that. I think JMB has had chem with her costars, just not sexual chem, just like KMC. And i wouldnt say she has never been a popular pairing. Her and Logan and her and Johnny were very popular, and her and Dante seem to be generally liked. I dont think you can look at failing ratings to say otherwise.

Becky Herbst is a rare kind of female soap star. She can pull off sexy, friendly, romantic, and family. At least i think so.

    • I don't know.  The animosity seems to be more recent than the mid 80s.  When Maggie was a victim of the Salem Stalker i remember reading an interview with Suzanne where she said they aired the episode(s) surrounding Maggie death in a theatre and made a big deal about it.  Suzanne was very upset about being fired and Dee comforted her and said that they were making such a big deal about it because it was Suzanne/Maggie.  I cannot find the article but I will keep trying. That said Suzanne's comments on Soapy about how some of the female cast members treated her during her illness was disappointing to hear to say the least.
    • Anyway... Kristen should have a prison lesbian story arc. And then come out and become obsessed with Marlena so we can move her on from the Brady nonsense. Is that secret room still in the DiMera mansion?
    • Oh, wow... where can I find this interview?
    • I'm really liking Izaiah and Eva so far. And why can't I help but feel that something might happen to make Jessica stay in Fairmont Crest permanently?
    • So Pam didn't create her? I thought she had the whole of 87-88. I'll look around, thanks for the point in the right direction.

date: Tuesday, November 18, 2025 | Jamey Giddens, Danielle Paige | Steven Williford Samantha, accept the fact you were in the wrong and do not deserve your digital devices. Do not like it? Go upstairs. Read a book. Do some knitting. Bradley and Martin's "we get it" to Tyrell was hilarious and absolutely a parent's thing to do. Loving a bit of history of both the Duprees (via Eva) and the Hawthrones (via Izaiah). So cute. Poor June. I am sure she did not purposefully mean to mess up; we have all been there working in customer service. Shake it off and keep on keeping on! Not twice a week for Vernon's cobbler order... Sharon must be using that as payment for their meetings. I appreciate that Ted still cares about the Duprees despite the end of his marriage to Nicole. Not Dana using Peaches' crisis as a way of taking Ted's attention away from a co-worker. Girl, do not be so obvious. Bradley is a man after my own heart with a simply divine chocolate milkshake. That is the way to go. Dana really needs to dial it back. Money will not buy her everything she wants and she will realise it soon enough. And I doubt Shanice is scared off by her idle threats, either. "With all due respect, Ms Thomas, this isn't a shopping mall." Oh, Dr Wilkes just owned Dana's arrogant ass. I love it. Wigs and personas? Okay now, Shanice ate with that read. I like that June assured Bradley that she will not replace him or Martin in the twins' lives. And that blood does not make a parent. Words never rang more true. Jessica reading Samantha was amazing. Dana would want to involve Ted. Her obsession is crossing beyond dangerous boundaries. Not Dana catching Vernon leaving Sharon's room at the country club. That is not good. Not good at all! Notes: Ugh. Not another breakdown from writer2. This week was going so well. Thankfully, Paige is an outstanding scriptwriter (one of this soap's best), and her words today are excellent. The food at Orphey Gene's does look bomb, so I do not blame any of the characters for uptalking it. I would eat there daily if I could. And gain hundreds of pounds, too. David Lami Friebe (Izaiah) continues to make me sick watching him, but he is nice to listen to. I still really like having June as the central person hub at Orphey Gene's. That familiar face you see when you walk in and have scenes. Dana wanting a second opinion means we could have an incoming doctor, right...?

    • I am sure "no one cares" and it's not a big deal to some people, but this thread is full of certain posters calling out women's ages, their viability to have children at like 35, and their nail polish, but we celebrate everything Chandler Massey does and applaud any male shirtless scenes.  And then posters walk back being like it's just a joke and weren't serious lol.
