Members amybrickwallace Posted March 18, 2017 Members Share Posted March 18, 2017 (edited) According to Barbara Morgenroth, the final HW of The Doctors, soap newcomer Hillary Bailey (Smith) was cast as a nurse named Kit over three future movie stars in 1982...Holly Hunter, Ellen Barkin and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. Ms. Morgenroth and her senior line producer wanted Holly Hunter for another role, but NBC decided they wanted a man to play the role. That man was Jamey Sheridan, later of L&O: CI fame. Members cassadine1991 Posted June 26, 2017 Members Share Posted June 26, 2017 (edited) Colleen Zenk in an interview says that in June 1975 and the months following her moving to New York City she auditioned for Guiding Light, All My Children, As the World Turns, Another World and Search for Tomorrow and they turned her down. And then she screen tested for a role as a hooker on ATWT in 1978 but then she said that she was placed on contract but they didn't know what to do with her and then gave her the role of Barbara Ryan.
