Wait what? How could he, he has a contract with PP for OLTL. Unless they were casting way back in fall 2012 for JJ before PP got OLTL going again

JJ started airing on Days in May 2013. Which means the role started filming January 2013. OLTL started filming March 2013. So AT probably auditioned for JJ prior to PP getting the soaps up & going in late November 2012

AMC: Kevin Mambo (GL) auditioned for Frankie Hubbard in 2002 however Jason Olive got the role instead.

Not sure how true but found this on Jane Elliot's Wikipedia Page

In 1987, at the request of producer Gail Kobe, Elliot read and was offered the role of Stephanie Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful but lost the role to Susan Flannery who was cast at the request of creator Bill Bell.

I can't see her on a Bell soap at all.

When P&G were replacing John Conboy at GL in 2004, they offered the gig to Michael Laibson. He turned it down. Ellen Wheeler got the job.
