DAYS: Discussion for the month of June

Oh no Chloe is pregnant!!! I hope the baby is PHILIPS!!

Oh, me too! I can't stand Melanie and Philip together, OR Chloe and Daniel together. So this would be the perfect way to break up my two least favorite couples.

So long Mia, LmBO!! Lets hope GABBY is next! Then it will just be Will and Chad, alone at last... cool.gifcool.gif

I like Mia! I think I'm the only one though...Oh well.

Ugh don't care for Carrie one bit, or Kayla.

What?! You don't like Carrie? Ah, I love her! But Kayla gets on my nerves.

Absolutely ridiculous. DAYS could have put the Daniel/Chloe scene before the Mike/Lexie scene at the hospital, so we would have seen that, and then the scene where Maggie tells Jen that Alice died at the end. Ending the show with that picture of Tom and Alice would have been the perfect ending, and would have had a bigger impact on me, and I'm sure many other viewers out there. Ending it with the giant scruff and the biggest hot mess of them all was a major JOKE.

I agree...I was really upset. I thougt that the scene with Chloe/Dan/Carly could have easily come at a different time. I would have much rather seen a scene with all the Hortons in the living room, Maggie comes down the stairs and says "Alice just passed" and the last shot be of everyones faces after hearing the news, then fading to a picture of Alice and Tom.

Other than that I am happy with the way that the tribute was handled. I thought it was great. My only complaint was that Mike didn't get to see Alice...I thought that was dumb, and I didn't see the point.

I agree about the Mike stuff it was totally unnessecessary. He just could have been late coming into town.

I also liked Mia she had Potential.

The Abe scene was also touching because Alice was fond of Abe and the flashback was great cause it was my favorite clip on Youtube.

Yup, I got more complaints! :) So Alice died without her children beside her bed? We didn't see everyone getting the news of her death? All we got was a 45 seconds scene of Maggie telling Jen? That's it? There should've been a big moment, or montage, with sad background music or a sad song. Something really emotional. I wish they spent more time on her death, instead of "Yeah, let's get it over with and move onto the next day." However, there were some good scenes today like Hope/Jen, Hope/Doug, Bill/Maggie and the last scene with Doug/Julie/Hope/Jen. Also, did we ever see Rafe/Shane escape? I don't remember - probably wasn't paying attention.

They should have found a way to work this in

I am surprised Daniel and Chloe weren't in Thursdays ep, following up from them finding out Chloe is pregnant. Good job DAYS for not putting those two messes in this ep.

My favorite parts, were Lucas/Kate/Will. Loved their interactions. And LOL, when Lucas was asking Will would he rather stay in the DiMera Mansion or move to Hong Kong with him, and Will was telling him why he wanted to stay in Salem...I was just waiting for a quick memory flash from Will, to Chad's face smiling at him or something. I don't know why, but I really had a feeling that would happen. But it didn't. Lol. I think it's a shame that Lucas has to go back there, I wish he could stay in Salem. I think it sucks.

Had to LOL at Ally eating those Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters. "they taste so good" LOL!! then Sami took out a whole other bag and told her to bring them to Caroline, cause they were her favorite. love days product placement, lol

Oh, me too! I can't stand Melanie and Philip together, OR Chloe and Daniel together. So this would be the perfect way to break up my two least favorite couples.

Philip and Chloe belong together, I hope DAYS is headed for a Phloe reunion. That baby better be theirs. They hit the sheets on April 23, 2010 and we found out Chloe was pregnant on June 23, 2010, Daniel said she was a couple months along...... smile.gif So I just have a hunch that it's theirs.

LOL, I didn't expect a flashback, but I expected Will to say he wanted to stay with his friends, and Kate would give him a look knowing he was talking about Chad.

Did Lauren Koslow fall in an ink well??? I mean, I know it's been like that for a while but it just seems to keep spreading and getting darker....

And yes, the Nature Valley Granola whatever bars? This had to be the most obivous product placement in months. Not only did Carrie randomly, in the middle of a conversation, mention that Ally was enjoying a snack, but Sami had to say the name like three times, and whip out a WHOLE nother bag....I was literally just waiting for her to look at the camera and say

"This show is brought to you by Nature Valley, made with WHOLE FIBER that helps keep our colon clean, for the DAYS OF OUR LIVES!"

NO! NO! NO! You end on the picture frame of Alice! You don't end on a sad Hope. COME ON!!!!!!!!!!! That last scene with Shane/Kim/Bo/Hope was unnecessary, it should've been saved for Monday's episode. Can the show do ANYTHING RIGHT? Can they not put together a PERFECT episode? I really wanted this episode to be perfect - to look back and say that it was one of the best and emotional episode I've ever seen. I was almost tearing up but it wasn't emotional enough for me to get tears in my eyes, to make my throat dry. I really thought that Alice's funeral was going to be the event to make my cry for the first time (for a tv show or movie). The montage was the best part, the most emotional for me.

Overall, I give Alice's death and funeral a B-. Dena Higley, Chris Whitesell and Gary Tomlin disappointed me. I just expected better.

It was ok, and I almost teared up during the montage. It should have been longer.

Why didn't Marie say anything about her mother Alice?

I am sad it's over because all the returnees are leaving. :(

The last scene with Hope/Bo/Shane/Kim was unnecessary, but whatever. This show went far and beyond anything these other soaps would have done. Had they focused more on this instead of Danloe these past few weeks it would have been better.

Overall, it was pretty good and one of the best episodes in a long time.

LOL Toups. You sound like an angry director.

LOL The breakdown of an episode is very important to me. I'm seriously thinking of editing the montage/end of the episode and insert a new background music once/if I can find a high quality download.

The buildup over the last couple of weeks has been nice, but this funeral episode isn't working at all. It all feels manufactured. Not the actors, they all have it going on, and you can tell they're all sincere. But the writing, the directing, even the music choices, it kinda feels formulaic and almost a little manipulative. I think I've seen better funerals.

Why didn't Marie say anything about her mother Alice?

Because it was important for Nathan to remind us why he really doesn't have anything to say yet he's going to say something anyway.

ETA: Thank you, K. Alfonso, thank you very, very much for reminding me why I can't watch DAYS regularly. Annoying beyond words.
