Members catsmeouch
But there's nothing screwed up about it. Musicals like the one OLTL is presenting today are in. As I said, look at Glee and HSM. OLTL is capitalizing on a trend. If anything, the ratings will go up for the musical, not down. OLTL is just doing something fun. I doubt they are expecting long term ratings payoffs from this. If that were the case, there would be a musical every damn day, not 3 episodes out of 250+. Members kitty1
Marty isn't real. No one is bashing an actual rape victim.
Members marceline
I'll be interested to see how the ratings shake out. The curiosity factor may negate the Friday fall off and Monday's usually the highest day of the week. I'm calling Tuesday as a drop. Nice!

Members Ryan Chamberlain
The old 80s theme! Woot! I was singing along with it. My mom looked at me like I was silly. But, I know every word.
Members Scotty
We'll hear more of it on Monday and Tuesday... http://soapoperanetwork.com/soaps/oltl/news/2339-one-life-resurrects-vintage-theme-song
Members Cheap21
I didnt realize how much of a mess the opening is. The editing and cutting of the character shots is horrible. Tea's lasted like half a second and stood out as bad. The show needs an overhaul with it
Members Ryan Chamberlain
Agreed. They have got to fix the shots. But, I want theme to keep the old theme song. God, I love it.
Members All My Shadows
Yo yo yo, hey, OLTL, I'm happy for you and all, and I'm-a let you finish, but All My Children had one of the best old school theme song resurrections of ALL TIME! Members SFK
Wow, the Wendy "I can't" is exactly what I was feeling watching that musical number. Matthew is killing me, as are those boy dancers. No pedo, but Dani looks good (in an early '90s Swans Crossing kinda way). Des looks cute too, the hair, and of course they're all extra made up. "Those lips? Keep 'em off my girlfriend." "Layla, back off, she's got a little bit of brain damage."

Administrator Toups Posted May 14, 2010 Administrator Share Posted May 14, 2010 Destiny: People cheat all the time, right Langston. Man, after that "Our Lips are Sealed" musical number, I need to go play Modern Warfare 2 or something. LOL
Members Ryan Chamberlain
It's like watching Degrassi (80s version) on an acid trip. A very BAD acid trip. I don't know whether to be appalled or just set back and watch to get a laugh. Roxy singing though.
Members SFK
"Our Lips Are Sealed" Children, if you're too young to remember Kids Incorporated, consider yourselves all caught up. That's the thing, I feel like there's no one watching who is this musical extravaganza's target audience. Little girls would eat it up. Maybe they should have also aired this as a special on Disney around 9pm, you know, lure over some new "older younger" fans.
