May 14, 201015 yr Member Bitching? No. Laughing? Oh yes. I love reading the comments in this thread when OLTL really screws up. It's like Comedy Central. If it helps, I'm not one of those people who thinks this will tank the ratings. But there's nothing screwed up about it. Musicals like the one OLTL is presenting today are in. As I said, look at Glee and HSM. OLTL is capitalizing on a trend. If anything, the ratings will go up for the musical, not down. OLTL is just doing something fun. I doubt they are expecting long term ratings payoffs from this. If that were the case, there would be a musical every damn day, not 3 episodes out of 250+.
May 14, 201015 yr Member As I said, people can bash rape victims if they want but it reflects poorly on the character of the poster. I mean, if someone can bash a raped woman, I can only imagine what else they're capable of. Marty isn't real. No one is bashing an actual rape victim.

The curiosity factor may negate the Friday fall off and Monday's usually the highest day of the week. I'm calling Tuesday as a drop. Nice!
May 14, 201015 yr Member What OLTL needs is to bring back Joey and Kevin, not someone who was only on the show for a few years and whose only connection was reciting "Brown Penny" over and over and over again. +1
May 14, 201015 yr Member The old 80s theme! Woot! I was singing along with it. My mom looked at me like I was silly. But, I know every word.

May 14, 201015 yr Member The old 80s theme! Woot! I was singing along with it. My mom looked at me like I was silly. But, I know every word. I didnt realize how much of a mess the opening is. The editing and cutting of the character shots is horrible. Tea's lasted like half a second and stood out as bad. The show needs an overhaul with it
May 14, 201015 yr Member Agreed. They have got to fix the shots. But, I want theme to keep the old theme song. God, I love it.
May 14, 201015 yr Member Yo yo yo, hey, OLTL, I'm happy for you and all, and I'm-a let you finish, but All My Children had one of the best old school theme song resurrections of ALL TIME! Edited May 14, 201015 yr by All My Shadows
May 14, 201015 yr Member Wow, the Wendy "I can't" is exactly what I was feeling watching that musical number. Matthew is killing me, as are those boy dancers. No pedo, but Dani looks good (in an early '90s Swans Crossing kinda way). Des looks cute too, the hair, and of course they're all extra made up. "Those lips? Keep 'em off my girlfriend." "Layla, back off, she's got a little bit of brain damage."

May 14, 201015 yr Administrator Destiny: People cheat all the time, right Langston. Man, after that "Our Lips are Sealed" musical number, I need to go play Modern Warfare 2 or something. LOL
May 14, 201015 yr Member It's like watching Degrassi (80s version) on an acid trip. A very BAD acid trip. I don't know whether to be appalled or just set back and watch to get a laugh. Roxy singing though.
May 14, 201015 yr Member "Our Lips Are Sealed" Children, if you're too young to remember Kids Incorporated, consider yourselves all caught up. That's the thing, I feel like there's no one watching who is this musical extravaganza's target audience. Little girls would eat it up. Maybe they should have also aired this as a special on Disney around 9pm, you know, lure over some new "older younger" fans.
