What a day this has been! And that's even before @DaytimeFan Bob Woodwarded not just this thread, but SON as a whole, with that Lucci/Liza tea. Sad tea as it is. I hope they repair their relationship -- Susan and Liza seemed close back when Liza was younger.

As for the RHOP trailer -- a chill of concern went down my spine when I saw it was FOUR parts. Now last year? That should have been a four-parter. Not sure, even with Nicki Minaj, we need quite so many this season. One thing I will say: all the women look simply PHENOMENAL in that trailer. And that includes Gizelle.

I didnt even realize it was 4 parts. UGH! After the lackluster Part 3 of BH, Im not here for it. Robyn, Ashley, Karen and Gizelle did not have much of a personal storyline and all their segments could take up about 20 minutes. I see Wendy, Candiace, and Mia carrying this reunion but they definitely dont have 4 parts worth of material to go back and forth with

Agreed! So much was left on the cutting room floor last year.  One hour alone on Monique's binder would've been fabulous. This season was good, but not epic like last year.

However, so far when it comes to RHOBH, the ratings and stayed high and steady. Has Part 3's numbers been released yet? I could see last night's numbers dropping.

Agreed. Against the Covid odds, and with safety and travel curbs in place, Potomac managed to produce a relatively decent season. But it wasn't like the last 3 seasons which were full-on drama. Even with an extended Minaj segment, you can hit the salad toss, Candiace's rage issues, Wendy's new bod, Karen vs Gizelle, Mia's mom, etc., in 3 succinct parts.

BH has definitely bucked the RH trend this past year. I believe it is one of only a few shows in the franchise to pass the psychological 1 million threshold. The others were ATL, NJ and Potomac. Its demos are pretty good, too.

Could very well be! Bravo does appear to be worried about the performance of some of its RH franchises for sure. It has been a not-so-great year for the network, and it wants to capitalize on the real-life buzz surrounding BH while it can in order to attract viewers. As for Potomac, it is building on its audience each season, which makes it a bit of a positive anomaly among the RH shows.

Thoughts:

- Wendy was doing too much in the clip. From the cue cards to the over animated reads... Ugh. Once again, she tries too hard.

- Candiace continues to reach for the low hanging fruit. I am glad that Andy is FINALLY calling her a** out. I truly think Bravo is at their wits end with that one.

- Gizzard needs clearly give Monique an apology. If you can turn a cheek to Mia potentially popping Candiace then you should've done the same for Monique. Consistency, boo. What's good for the goose needs to be good for the gander.

- Nicki... meh. It is gonna bother me watching these women act giddy over someone defending a sex offender. I will be here though with Nicki delivering the harsh truth despite the fact that she should be the last one to be the messenger.

- Brokebyn... why is she still there?!

That's sad about Susan and her daughter. I hadn't thought of Liza in such a long time, I thought you meant  Liza Minelli.

Minaj is just absolute scum. She is also a good fit for Andy Cohen, and for the general way that he, and Bravo, treat women.

    • Yes, the Liz and Lucky scenes were horrible. Kristina better be sent to prison.   I'm already getting tired of BLQ continuing to blame Lois for her mistakes. Yes, let's move this along.
    • Oh I agree that they erred in not showing her bonding more with her family and not having this examined more closely. I think if I cared about Lucky or Laura I'd be more agitated. I think the material they have given her (aside from chasing after Charlotte, which was hurt by not focusing more on Rocco's response and just by Charlotte never having a reason to exist) has been OK but certainly not what it could have been.
    • I have never been much of a Lulu fan either since the JMB days.  I do think Alexa Havins is really a great recast.  When Lulu returned it was at the expense of Sam (no loss to me) but not the best for audience favor, she was barely on screen for weeks after she woke up, then went to run off and put everyone in danger to find Charlotte at the expense of her other child, and finally moved on to this Brook/Dante baby investigation.  Lulu never had a chance to grieve the years she lost, re-bond with her family or her friends, re-integrate herself back into town, or be anything more than a chaos creator. Meanwhile, Brook Lynn is this poor, innocent victim that's being bullied by Lulu.  I don't think Lulu is right.  I would just like a little more subtlety in the writing.
    • Just beautifully done. I could name some minor quibbles, but I won't, because what DAYS gave us today was golden. That was soap opera at its finest, paying homage to history and legacy and actors and the audience. This is why we love soaps.
    • To clarify, we could argue about the necessity to have John Black speak while in hospital, but the body created an opportunity for people to touch him, and move around him.  Even though I never totally suspended my disbelief, I appreciated their creative choice to form a visual representation of loss.  Certainly there were other ways to tell this story, but it will stay with me because those production choices enabled these performances. However, with disdain, I note that Days has found an odd middle ground between a flashback and a montage.  I define a flashback as least a couple of rounds of dialogue, if not a whole scene.  And a montage would be a visual snippet without much dialogue.  But, these were often just a single line, or an entrance.  It felt like a bit of a tease, and made me wish that Peacock had curated a playlist of John Black's Greatest Hits, like they do for some Bravo shows or SNL characters.  OT - but they have yet to maximize that platform.
    • It's tough for me because I feel like this has always been Lulu. She used to be even worse, slut-shaming, verbally abusing other women, and always being written as being in the right. They should let Brook Lynn get dirtier, but I think the material of Lulu digging and being self-righteous, making everything worse even while not intending to do so, but also not being as in the wrong as Dante thinks she is, all makes sense for her. But I don't have as much experience with Lulu as a lot of fans as I just could never stomach her beyond the time she was a mute kid, so I don't have much right to speak.
    • Thanks @JAS0N47 for all the ratings!   All My Children hits Number 1 in the ratings for the first time in its history during the week of 8/20/73-8/20/73!
    • I think the writing is slanted against Lulu.  I don't think there is an issue with the character in general.  I just think Lulu comes doesn't get many layers or nuance in her writing.  Lulu becomes obnoxious and a bully to Brook Lynn and both characters SHOULD have flaws.
    • Totally here for Anita dumping Sharon in the past for first Dante Green, and then Vernon...
