Porsha's private life is still messy omg

You know, I feel like Potomac's cast is such a complementary ensemble that even changing one person risks shaking the incredible dynamic. Still miss Katie, and I'm not sure how it's going to be without Monique (and with Mia).

Ashley was our opening SL coming into the show -- the young trophy wife coming into this snooty, established group of wannabe charity socialites. We didn't see all that much of Michael Darby in that first season, and Ashley is an expert pot-stirrer. I know last season it felt less like Ashley's story and more like The Darby's, but in some ways I'm ok with that? Michael is the sloppiest, most drama-seeking husband since Peter Thomas.

I don't know how things will pan out this year with Ashley. But her ability to hold a grudge and stir the pot with Candiace (or even Karen) should not be underestimated. She is a born messy-ass. She also gives a lot of her life. I don't think we will see much of Michael Darby this year, which is a crying shame, because watching Ashley and Robyn stoically ignore Michael's raging hard-on for Juan is peak RHOP.

Well, this is whetting my appetite! Bershan sounds like she is here to play. I wonder why she only got FOH?

I notice these episodes are July 13 and 20. I'm assuming we also get episodes on June 29 and July 6 also.

I do recall Bershan saying she came in later during filming and she thinks that's why she didn't want get upgraded to main.

She might be the spark this season needs..because Eboni and Leah ain't it.

Honestly, Bravo is wrong to not give Bershan her apple. She started filming 3 weeks in. The only reason she’s appearing so late is because they stretched the Hamptons trip out for so many weeks. Considering how heavily she’ll feature I think Bravo was wrong not to give her a cast photo, or a Sonja style late addition Apple. They officially announced her then acted like she didn’t exist.

One positive is that she’s on Wendy Williams tomorrow so she’s finally getting some attention, but Bravo should’ve been promoting her arrival. The show has *no* hype this season. Use what you have! Imagine the “new girl in town” type promo they could run with clips of her instant feuds with Eboni and Sonja. People would tune in for that.

On the podcast Hot takes & Deep Dives, there is a really good interview with Taylor of BH fame. She was a really good HW in hindsight. She lives in the OC now and is friends with some of the OC ladies. Taylor wouldn't be a bad addition to that show IMO.

I enjoyed Ashley last season. She matured but still has a bit of messy to her.

I hope in this new season she does not regressed. Hated Season 1 Ash.

Bershan should be upped to a housewife next year if this is what we're getting from her already.

Also... Miss Luann, quite the hypocrite again with the dinner conversation, as evidence has proven in the past.

    • But that's not weird... nail polish is allowed in prisons via commissary. Same with general makeup, haircuts, and hair colouring products.
    • This is DAYS, the show that said you could brainwash anyone with simple kitchen appliances.  An actor's nail polish or lack thereof should be the least of our concerns, lol.
    • It was not that she wasn't wearing nail polish, it is that she managed to get a manicure in prison
    • "We're Knot Done Yet": the name of this lovely podcast AND what JVA tells her plastic surgeon at every appointment. In other news, Michele Lee is reminding me more and more of my old music teacher from elementary school, and I couldn't STAND that bitch.
    • I apologize if this has been covered already, but does anyone know whether Douglas Marland was HW'ing by that point?  If he was, then I see what he meant when he said (in so many words) that he had inherited a mess when he started at GH.  Aside from Alan and Monica, none of that material seems very promising.  The story with Mark Dante and the Corbins is the wrong kind of predictable (y'know, the kind where you know what's going to happen, but you just don't give a crap?), the stuff with Scotty and Laura is cute but toothless, I don't know WHAT the hell Gina and Steve Carlson's character are arguing about and Rick Webber has to be the dumbest man alive not to see David Hamilton practically twirling his moustache over how to make a killing off Lamont Corbin's declining health.  (By the way, "LAMONT CORBIN"?  What is this, "The Shadow"?  And "Corbin Limited" sounds like some jive I'd hear over on Y&R.) In a way, it's kind of like watching today's GH, right down to the dialogue that's serviceable and pushes plot along but says nothing about the characters' inner lives.
    • It absolutely was; the narrative was there, and they followed it promptly. Maybe that's back when women had babies at young ages?!?!?

    • Thanks for asking that!  Back when we had another major event upcoming (a party or the concert), I had intended to ask what everyone here was planning to wear.

    • Lol. Right?  I mean the show could have framed the 60th anniversary in a different way, but the narrative was celebrating Tom and the hospital. Also, what a weirdly sexist bunch of posts about women's nail polish.  Like, yes, this is Days problem lol.  Stacy Haiduk isn't a good Kristen because she doesn't wear nail polish?  Are we in the 1950's???
