Sonja, when not influenced by alcohol, Ramona or her B.S., is actually a very sweet individual. But, she's clearly gone through a lot since her first two seasons. And I do mean A LOT!

For something so serious...that felt so light.

 

And I don't think that's a bad thing.

 

Of course the episode was about two things. The most serious thing being Crystal vs Sutton. And unpopular opinion, but I feel (unlike LuAnn on this week's NY) Sutton is just ignorant. It has been established since last season that she was an odd bird and even Crystal mentioned it. Ignorant people can be taught differently and Crystal basically said it was time for Sutton to get caught up with the times. I feel that something Sutton had slllooooowwwwwly been doing by becoming friends with Garcelle. And Garcelle is definitely not the type to be close friends with someone with deep racist tendencies. I did not like Sutton trying to talk over Crystal when she was talking about her experiences as Asian. And I did like that Crystal was able to move it and their bonding over their father's passings. However, Sutton was doing too much. Yeah, that was some white fragility there, but I feel she will get over that. And she will at least apologize for her ignorance. Going forward I feel this is going to be thorny than it appears to be or turn into a goofy feud because online they seem very frenemies-ish. 

 

And then the episode was about the Fabulousness of Kathy Hilton!!! OMG!!! She is just a fun nut. How can you hate on a woman with a fan, newspaper, a bag of chips, and a Red Bull!!! The prank was HILAROUS...until Sutton ruined it. She continued to be a breath of fresh air. And she definitely keeps the fun going. 

 

And while slow paced than the first two episode, it was a pretty good episode.

 

KYLE. She was pretty much the bun of online jokes this week. And I'm here for that. But never forget that this Crystal vs Sutton talk started because she was talking about Garcelle.

EX SOAP OPERA STAR. I will give her this much. She was funny in that prank. 

 

ERIKA. Only good for reaction shots just like a good blow-up doll. 

 

DORIT. Loved that she (and Garcelle) were in on this job. She was fun thoroughout just like Kathy.

 

GARCELLE. You know you are a queen when you have haters. And as said above, Garcelle so far has been beating that second season curse. However, it has been noticed that the Coven are coming for her online. It has also been noticed that the racism is coming out of a lot of fans for her. How...vulgar. She has been nothing but class and straightforwardness and yet Crystal is the only one allowed to call out someone. Or is that because she is calling out that nasty Coven...who have it coming btw? I can't with that. She was fun here and still straight forward by asking about the texting between Erika and Ex Soap Opera Star just in case it was about Sutton. I am afraid as well the attacks on her start next week. I am just glad that she appears to be ahead of the game and playing her cards extremely well.

 

SUTTON. I feel like I need to go and find that Tyra Banks gif from ANTM cuz GUUUURRRRRRLLLL!!! I know I am coming at it from a different perspective. She reminds me of a close friend of mine who during lockdown wanted to talk to me about all the history she read (since she loves nonfiction) about black people in America. And once I got her to stop crying and apologizing as if she was the person responsible, we had a good talk about that and moved on. She's been a great ally back in Arkansas and that is something to admire how she went out there, educated herself, and WANTS to do what she can. In light of the fact that this week was 100th anniversary of Black Wall Street, I feel it's timely for all of these talks. BUT she was doing too much throughout the episode. Her...well Karen...popped out. Still care, but that was a bad look for her. 

 

CRYSTAL. She's growing on me. I liked a lot of what she revealed this episode. And I liked that she was over Sutton (sorry, Sutton) and kept trying to move on. I love her way with words.

 

KATHY. Boss.  There was not a moment of film that was wasted on her. 

 

So good episode.

I still like Sutton. I wish she'd shut up though bc she isnt helping her case but I still ride with her. I think Crystal was egging her on looking for a reaction. She doesnt see it for Sutton and I see her picking at every little thing from here on out

 

LOVE Kathy. She is the gift that keeps on giving

 

Dorito. Is she even still on the show

I still like Sutton. While she spoke inelegantly and ignorantly, I didn't hear a drop of malice. It's interesting to hear about her father's suicide and her mother's profession as a psychotherapist. That is a heavy mental burden and it seems Sutton has been wearing it for a very long time.

 

Crystal, on the other hand, I maintain is an unpleasant person. The way she dismissed Sutton after the dinner was a glimpse at a very harsh personality. Her hot mic moment on the phone also demonstrated that she simply doesn't like the woman and isn't going to in the future either.

 

Kyle still hates Garcelle. Her comment in the VT when Garcelle told Kathy how annoying Paris Hilton used to be spoke *volumes*. 

 

Dorit is literally doing nothing and if she doesn't pull a Hail Mary there's no reason to see her continue next season. 

 

Rinna and Garcelle clearly hate each other. "That's a big beam" and discussions about the weather? Yeah, that friendship is DOA. And rightly so, Garcelle can't trust Rinna at all and Rinna has admitted as much. 

 

I love how odd Kathy is. I can see why she's always preferred Kim over Kyle. 

 

The end of Erotica Lame appears to be coming next week. About time, too.

NY

 

Well everyone knows I need to do a binge of NY since my first season to peek in really was Season 8 with Bethanny's return, but if you all are saying this LuAnn is SEASON 4 LUANN...not sure I want to go back. lol. 

 

Definitely seen her as a classist at times, but still feel some kinda of way about her after this week. 

 

 

 

DALLAS

 

DEFINITELY was renewed for S6. But they are putting it on break with OC (and RHOA though that should start to film again in 3 to 5 weeks supposingly) to see about how to reboot it.

I actually thought she needed to be fired along with Jill and Kelly that season. Was not a good look for her. Still, her behavior with both Sonja and Eboni had a weird gratuitous edge to it that disturbed me.

I actually liked Luann wasn't fired after season 4 because she was on an island without her mean girl group.  And Carole and Heather called her out on her pot stirring....and Luann had to play nice.

 

I miss Carole for one reason..and that is the way she effortlessly would drag Luann...she did it better than Bethenny ever did.  

 

@DaytimeFanI think Crystal is a mean girl..but is better at hiding it than Kyle.  She's also a snob...and lacks the vulnerability and eagerness of Tiffany from Dallas.

 

@TaoboiI can see why Dallas is on the bench...after the Westcott Twitter drama..and Tiffany wanting to sue them....I can see Bravo assessing what direction to go in.  With Kameron and Brandi being problematic...and Kary's toxic ways....I'm sure the show is figuring out the casting and where to go with things

ITA with both of you. The vibe I got from Crystal this Tahoe trip is Mean Girl. She quickly sussed that Sutton is sloppy and anxious, and everyone else has their sh!t locked tight. So Sutton is the target. Shouting "WOULD YOU RELAX? GOD YOU'RE SO ANNOYING" ? Kicking and whisper-reprimanding her in the car? Straight out of the Mean Girl playback. Nothing like passive-aggressively letting someone know you really dislike them!

 

I'm very surprised Crystal is doing the show. She knows she is way above these women in the LA pecking order. Does she really need the exposure? On the other hand -- a show like BH needs someone like this. Not just for the legit connections, but an icy b!tch who polarizes the audience.

 

As for the rest, Kathy is a joy. And Dorit is hoping to cling to this gig via Kyle & Kathy. Has Dorit become the new Teddi? Discuss.

 

Next week: the faux shock about Erika's divorce.

  Rinna keeps stanning this woman like "That's so Erika not to tell us! Kween!" You know if Denise or Garcelle were in the same spot, it would be a whole season of Rinna squealing: "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US LIAR YOU CAN'T HAVE SECRETS ON THIS SHOW!" 

 

 

 

 

His wallet is probably (far and away) the most attractive thing about him. We all know why former-escort Porsha is with him!

 

Plus he's an attention whore who views women as disposable, judging by this Falynn mess. Porsha may get a shock down the road when someone younger/prettier starts sniffing around Ole Hobbit's money.

The thing is, Luann goes from the "Countess" to a double-standard individual, but this is definitely giving me season four Luann vibes, which is not a positive thing for me.

 

 

RHOD lost its edge once LeeAnne left. I know she's controversial, but, she really did carry the franchise on her own, and, without her, they have little-to-nothing. I say hiatus it for a year and see what comes about.

@Taoboi @Faulkner @Liberty City The problem with Luann is that she gets humbled by a series of events and lets it all hang out for a while. And we get Lu. Then she gets a massive boost to her self-esteem, remembers that she is on a TV show and it's like "I'm back!! Back on top where I belong!"  That's when The Countess re-emerges.

 

 

It's a little Jeckel & Hyde -- the woman she was (and prob felt a little ashamed of when she married the count) vs. the woman of high status she always wanted to be.
