Let me start with saying SAANNNNNNNNNNNN DIEGOOOOOOOO IN THE M#$%FRAKKING HOUSE!!!!

I also want to say how much I loved the Garcelle/Sutton friendship through out the episode. She was the first one Garcelle saw. And Garcelle cracking wise. The attack of the pillow! And then the scene where they saw Crystal and the wheelchair almost run away with Sutton was hilarious. I know that a lot of people online have pinned on them not having each other's back when I personally have felt that they have. But tonight they definitely had it at that last dinner. Sutton stood up for herself hard and I loved Garcelle checking Dorit when she was about to make that talk about everything, but Sutton's feelings. No, ma'am. No run-on sentences tonight.

But...that smirk.

During that whole attack on Garcelle, watch Kyle. As Ex Soap Opera Star was attacking Garcelle, Kyle just has a big ole smirk on her face all the way through. It seems...the plan was working.

It didn't really hit me until the dinner.  And then it did. THOSE HEFFAS HAD DONE IT AGAIN.

We know they have their same tactic. Single someone out and focus on something petty. Do it repeatedly, while deflecting from the REAL drama. They did it with LVP. They did it with Denise. And now at the end of this season, they are trying again with Garcelle. Meanwhile, while the viewers are mad at them for being petty, they are forgetting all about EricFake. That is allowing her to continue her victim act.

Allegedly now? Now we are using the NEVER BEFORE SEEN scene of Sutton saying she was going to give EricFake money as a flashback scene, for those people who did not see it all of a sudden? Also telling...Andy Cokehead brought up the scene tonight when he had Sutton on the show. Hmmmm...trying to save Sutton now, are we? Hmmm...

And meanwhile, Kyle and Production are STILL coming for EricFake in confessionals. And interesting that they time stamped the Tom flashback in 2020, poking holes in the whole 'Tom has not been well for years' defense. While they are at the same time getting to the timeline when Tom's brother took over his affairs. And this filming all happened around Feburary. Curiouser and curiouser indeed.

KYLE. Honestly, did she do anything? Or anything real if I thought about it? This week...okay for a while...Kyle seem less and less like a person on a show than Producer Kyle. Was that one lady who was a producer on BASKETBALL WIVES like this or was she actually a person on the show. Image, image, image. She's trying to be the good sister on one hand. Meanwhile, she has continued to be sure she is throwing Erika under the bus in Confessional. I did like that Kathy and her were late for dinner. Otherwise, I just don't see how the masses has not caught on to her. She is so obvious.

EX SOAP OPERA STAR

GIRL, HAVE ALL THE SEATS. You are not going to be sitting talking about shady when you wrote the book for these ladies. Look at you and LVP. Look at you and DeniseFrakkingRichards. Going forward, I hope that means the gloves are off and Garcelle read this heffa.

ERICFAKE.

kenya moore gifs Page 5 | WiffleGif

DORIT. I still don't think she gets it. But I do like she is still throwing EricFake under the bus. And I liked that Garcelle and her hugged it out. Still...over her.

SUTTON. YEEESSSSSSSSS!!!  I was afraid that she was going to be a pushover from the sneak peeks. But I'm glad that we got to see 'Let the Mouse Go' Sutton come out and gather EricFake. EricFake might have thought she was being dismissive. Hunni...let a REAL Southern Woman show you how it was done. It was a draw, but I loved she finally started to give it back. With her body language. With her tone. Her everything. And I LOVE her trying to shut down Dorit with the quickness when she tried to come for Garcelle (AGAIN) over that interview. THAT'S how you back a friend. And her and Garcelle were tag-teaming. Oooo...*chef's kiss* God, I love them together. The bond. The humor (Garcelle's line about wheeling her around during BHM was hilarious). And I think Production showing the flashback (well that scene that was not in an regular episode) of her saying she was willing to loan EricFake money show they might be Team Sutton more than Team EricFake. At least for now.

CRYSTAL. Air.

KATHY. Yes, Kathy was pot stirring a little. However, I loved that she finally checked Dorit as well. It does feel like the layers are being peeled away. And what is being revealed is not so much a more goofy but clever version of Kim, but a true socialite. For better...and for worse.

GARCELLE. QUEEN. ALWAYS. SHE SAID WHAT SHE SAID to Dorit. Those are her feelings and that is nothing against Dorit's feelings. But that is how she feels. Totally relateable.

And it just shocks me that there were people online agreeing with Ex Soap Opera Star at all. She was attacking for attacking. And it is not over some 'thank you' that she already got. She keeps calling your trifling a&* out. And I hope the rumors are true and she really exposed you at the reunion.

Overall, it was an absorbing episode. However, it does feel like they are spinning their wheels. Momentum has been lost.

The Coven gang-up on Garcelle was just as awful as anticipated. I cannot imagine how Smirking McSplits, Rinna Ghoul and Grifter Gucci thought this would play well for them. It was sickening watching them try to win some audience points afterwards with the performative hugging of Garcelle. Rinna running up to tell G "it's gonna be ok" was cringeworthy. WTF does she mean? Like @DaytimeFan said, it was like a cult embracing a new recruit after initiation. Or a gang, after a newbie has been forced to bloody their hand after proving loyalty. I see you also, Kathy.

Speaking of performative, Erika in her ridiculous white eyeshadow. She has zero in her bank account  she said, so wtf is she paying her glam in? Erika Jayne tickets? I'm so sick of this chick. I thought with all the Tom sh!t coming out, we would finally be seeing the real Erika. But all this victimhood feels like a big ole performance. Nothing coming out of her mouth sounds remotely authentic. All I see is her Greatest Bamboozlement.

Sutton in a wheelchair with her effed-up foot was a joy. This was also the most fun we've seen Garcelle have in a cast trip.

They are trying to haze her. That's what this is like: some sick sorority style hazing where she has to collapse and be 'vulnerable' and then she is embraced by the ghoulish mob telling her it'll all be OK...it's really bizarre.

Most of the RH shows have an element of Survivor to them, with newbies (and OGs) undergoing a trial by fire within the group. Weirdly, as toxic as NJ could get, its group battles usually felt the most organic and grounded in that North Jersey suburban world. BH has gone full scripted game-show with these eerily silent dinners where overdressed participants stare each other down until someone summons up the courage to attack a chosen target and break them repeatedly.

It's full-on creepy, and the forced hugging afterwards is fake AF, heals no wounds and resolves nothing. The Coven will remain The Coven and Garcelle has absolutely not been embraced by them (not that I would ever want her part of that seventh circle of hell).

Besides the platform of the show itself, I have to wonder what the upshot is to having Kyle, Kyle's workout buddy, Rinna, Dorit and Erika as your pretend besties.

It is indeed Shady Phae Phae, presumably in some kind of disguise.

Ironically, everyone else looks pretty much exactly the same as on their respective shows!

Yes, that lil pow-wow did not sit right with me either. I liked that Garcelle got to be frank about what it's like trying to fit in in a white world, but the way they pat her on the back afterwards was so surface level patronizing. Sutton sat back and watched because you could tell she and Garcelle already had this discussion a long time ago because, you know, they're actual friends.

Kathy is doing to Dorit what Kyle wishes she could do. #BobbyFischer

First of all, I either forgot or just now realized both Vicki and Tamra are in this!  Secondly, get Jill and Dorinda back on the RHONY mothership! Same with Vicki/Tamra.  I know this is Peacock mandated, but I'd sooner worry about strengthening the original shows and not focus on the spinoffs.

    • Yes it does!! And neglect! They let it drop so long and so often it doesn’t really have much meaning beyond another recurring character killed off. I kind of agree. I don’t want Emma to be SA’d, but he was a creepy professor perv at first, and we could have higher stakes if they let him be a scumbag for longer. Even to add more suspects, like Gio punched his lights out for grabbing Emma innapropriately. Or even better, she punches him, then Gio does too. He had the potential to be fun for a bit longer. I always love it when they do a shooting in the snow on this show lol.

I went back to see how teen Sami even figured out how to sell a baby in 1993, and the recap is unintentionally hilarious. The exposition is so blunt it feels like the writers drafted it between bites of lunch. Suddenly there’s a teen mom named Karen who sold her baby through a shady lawyer, and somehow Sami just… knows this man and pays him with hospital volunteer money. You can tell they were trying to make the whole thing “plausible” enough, but also knew the baby wouldn’t be gone long enough to justify a real subplot.  I know one thing, if Karen had confided in Jamie, Sami would've never met Steve Miller. Jamie knew that snitches get stitches. Not to be confused with the horrific Stephen Miller, who was 8 in 1993. AND Just to show the audience how shady Steve the lawyer could be, he was played by this guy -- Character actor Terry Wills was cast as creeps on every sitcom in the 1980s.
    • I can’t help but to get drawn in by Dani and Andre but it just angers me that it’s so obvious that they’re not endgame.
    • John and Marlena may have committed adultery, but they weren't going to be smug creeps about it. "Roman, how do you feel about the name Isabella Titania Brady?"
    • -- It's always amazing to me that these "terrible breakdowns" (by writers so bad they shall not be named) are saved by incredible script writers. Every time

-- Kat is a "spoilt bitch" while Eva isn't??? -- Does Kat go too far with her mouth? Absolutely. But I get it. Eva has done some terrible things and continues to enable her criminal mother while Kat's family and boyfriend DEFEND her and show her love. -- Eva's complaints about Leslie are meaningless, because they're never backed up with anything. I'll take "spoilt bitch" any day before I take "criminal enabling hoe." -- It's nice that Martin accepts Eva, but the way he's handling it is eye-rolling. Eva gets hugs and smiles and full acceptance while Kat is trashed -- to Eva's face. -- Martin is STILL obsessing over the Kat conversation about sex that Samantha heard. Are you kidding me with this? And now Eva offers to speak to Kat. Yeah, very cute that the sister who screwed the other sister's boyfriend is the one with relationship advice. -- The food at Uptown looked pretty good today. Orphey Gene's food has yet to impress me, and I think it's clear that the country club chef is an alcoholic who cannot control his kitchen.
    • At this point, Marlena, John, and Roman all thought Roman was Belle's father. Sami had switched the initial blood tests. When it was time for another round of tests (because Belle was jaundiced), Sami panicked and kidnapped the baby.  Up until January 1994, Sami was the only one who knew that John was Belle's father. Next up were Stefano and Peter, once Stefano read Sami's diary (he figured it would reveal what was going on between John & Marlena). Stefano revealed the truth of Belle's parentage to Roman AFTER Marlena revealed her tryst with John (about two weeks later, to be exact). Marlena and John were the last ones to find out (during February sweeps, naturally). The John Black name was revived in September 1991.
    • The show has been getting better and better. Dani and Andre solidly "coupling" has been amazing. Genie Francis says soaps don't do couples anymore...maybe Dani/Andre can prove her wrong. To me they are the best couple on the show.  Eva vs Kat is always great. The show continues to find ways to keep it going and I'm all for it. Kat annoys me so bad. She is such a spoiled princess and acts it. I agree the comment about wishing Eva had been aborted was low. If that were the case, then why is she constantly getting in Eva's face? Why doesn't Kat just stay away and ignore her completely like she doesn't exist? I know. I know. It wouldn't be soaping.  This Hayley plot to kill Bill now taking a detour onto Izaiah has me curious. Does Hayley even know what she wants? I can't wait to see the fallout for Hayley and Randy....but not too soon.  I am tired of hearing about Winterfest already though. Can we get to it? lol
    • Great rundown of Long's second stint. Now you got me wondering...and again, thinking how real life impacted the direction of the show. We were talking about how practically the minute Long landed back on GL, she wrecked Ross and Vanessa and threw Alan and Reva together. Soon after, Alan started pursuing Vanessa again (because he was SO afraid of the "real" feelings he was having for Reva for the first time in his life, LOL). It's like she was determined to do an Alan/Vanessa/Somebody triangle at some point. She started one with Billy as the third side (well, actually, Alan was the third side) back in late 83/early 84 before Bernau exited GL the first time. So she had to drop it. But since Billy was gone this time, she seemed to decide, hey, I'll do it, only with Reva as the missing side of the triangle. Then Maeve left, messing that up! So I wonder, would she have had Alan and Vanessa marry? Maybe not, but I doubt Vanessa would have taken kindly to being overthrown for Reva. Could have been done in a really humiliating way, like after the invitations went out or even at the wedding. Maybe she would have helped Phillip with his plot to dethrone Alan. Lots of interesting possiblities.  I did like the way this story was handled. Chelsea was clearly more in love with Phillip than he was with her. Even "dead," no one could compete with Beth. So it was always doomed, but they showed how Phillip lost his way because he was obsessed with getting back at his dad. I also thought the relationship between Alan and Chelsea was a little...strange. He was very much in favor of their relationship, even though she came from an even lower background than Beth's. She also always fiercely defended Alan. Which has made me wonder if--ick--one of the many writing teams was thinking about putting them together romantically. (Of course, in my headcanon, where Alan has a youthful romance with the never seen Reardon sister, his fondness for Chelsea then makes perfect sense.) I always wondered why they never thought of putting Chelsea with Rick, especially after they butted heads over the death of her fiance. Seemed like a no-brainer.
    • Aubrey's Marina was great...but they wasted her...she could have been a new Nola (since she was living in the BH I would have had her find the N.R. + K.N. thing Nola carved in her bedroom...."I don't know who this girl was but she seems to be as unhappy as I am stuck here.") And have her set her cap for a good recast Shayne and take on the Old Bag Reva when she tries to interfere.."Oh please, I heard she was back in Oklahamo giving blow jobs behind the gas station, and she acts like she is Mother of the Year...God I hate her."  When they recast with that boring Kit girl and then...cutesy Mandy it was done. I love the idea of Billy and Van bonding over hell on wheels Peter. and kicking **** to the curb.Billy went to prison to protect him from Roger but that was never mentioned when Billy returned. Peter and Aubrey's Marina would raise Hell together..do a Nolaredux  in that he bangs her, she gets preggers, passes that off as Shayne's with Ole Bag Reva suspicious...I could see Marina ringing a bell to get the Ole Bag to bring her some ice cream...."But Grandma...oh you hate that I am sorry, okay, Grammy, you know I can't be stressed and oh, Shayne would be mad if I lost the baby..."ah what could have been.

Yeah, that's I mentioned the christening, when the truth comes out Reading October and November 1993, what is actually nuts is how much story they went through in a month. Because John's not even interested in Marlena at the time of Belle's birth.  He is rebound lusting for Kristen, who delivered Belle (funny mention in SOD about Marlena being unable to service at the Horton cabin on her "cellular" phone, I assume there was heightened vigilance to the exposition covering the tech of the time).   And, of course, since it was Kristen helping Marlena give birth during a stormy night, they both looked glossy, windswept, and gorgeous.    Justice for Jamie, I bet she's still holding Sami's secrets wherever she is.
