I don't know about Nene's interesting factor as her contribution to this season isn't really enticing me to watch. It does entice me to roll my eyes and go meh, on the other hand. I totally think it was Kim and Nene's relationship together that made the show in past seasons, the show has become really bland without it.

How the mighty have fallen. It makes me wonder about how New Jersey is going to play. Prior to the Beverly Hills surge, it was New Jersey and Atlanta bringing the high entertainment factor.

ATL

Talls vs the Smalls....lol love it. It reminds me of the NY trip with the Blondes vs the Brunettes. Unlike that though, I cant quite pick a side.

Loved Sheree's reaction when she saw Marlo coming "This woman has 7 mugshots. I dont even know if she's allowed to leave the country. Aint she on parole?"

It was wrong and childish of Nene to bring Marlo without telling the other girls first

RHoBH:

Let's get real about Lisa and the rest of the BH Ho's...she's above them all, they know it, she knows it.

Pandora's wedding, clearly, was used to cap off the season on a positive note rather than end with Taylor's "black eye" (FAKE) and Russell's impending suicide. It's all a bit too OJ Simpson, even with "the morally corrupt Faye Resnick" as a Friend of the Ho's...I believe Lisa only allowed the Ho's she can stomach to show up. Taylor? Puh-leaze. Lisa played Taylor just right, kill 'em with kindness, Lisa's onto Taylor's grift. Dana's a bottom feeder. Brandi's trailer trash. Kim's an alcoholic who probably would have done a face plant into Pandora's cake.

I am *certain* that all of the Ho's will be gunning for Lisa at the reunion with the possible exception of Camille. Lisa should absolutely leave this show, she'd leave a total winner. Let your bitch flag fly Lisa, I am right there with you.

RHoATL:

I still find the show highly enjoyable. That said, I wholeheartedly agree that it was the Kim/Nene relationship, rather than either woman as an island unto herself, which was and remains the big draw. I want them to make up so badly, it's the only reason I really tune in. I want to see a reconciliation! Marlo's a convicted criminal. Kandi's a bore. Cynthia needs to divorce her !@#$%^&*] husband. Sheree is clearly 'hood rich' (Chanel bags, but no house) and without a storyline. The only one left is fabulous Phaedra, she is the saviour of the talking heads, she is absolutely hilarious.

I am concerned that ATL is coming off too forced, it's just not good.

RHoNYC:

They're on vacation number 3?! Good lord, I don't like all these trips. Give me the old days of OC when Jeana's kids fighting by the pool with the dogs was the height of drama.

and they do! Adrianne, Kyle and Taylor go on the attack of Lisa and Brandi, and both fight back. In the trailer it ends with brandi rolling her eyes and saying "[!@#$%^&*] off", likely to Kyle. it looks like brandi is on point and doesnt take their bullshit, so i am super excited.

and its a THREE PART REUNION! And Kim did tape a sit down, solo with Andy.

I thought the BH finale was boring. I didnt like that they focused exclusively on Pandora's wedding. It was beautiful, but I didnt really care about that. After all the drama from last week, I was expecting more of that here. Lisa usually looks glam but her dress was too much and looked more like dress up for Halloween. Pandora shouldnt have insisted she wore a tiara bc it looked all shades of wrong on Lisa. Did not like

I cant believe this season lasted 20 episodes. Is this the longest Housewive season? I have to say, it never felt as if it was dragging on as I was throughly entertained throughout.

For 20 episodes, 23 with the reunion, I never felt bored. New Jersey also had a long season 3, but it felt so repetitive and long. I thought ending on Pandora's wedding was a nice note. It was a central storyline and really a saving grace for them. Considering Russell's suicide and filming being stopped, I would've hated for them to end on the previous episode. I'm glad they decided to go ahead and film Pandora's wedding just so they don't have that dark cloud hanging over everything.

I can't wait for the reunion which looks very dramatic. Team Lisa/Camille/Brandi all the way. I hope they don't go easy on Taylor.

Exactly.

And YES to L/C/B vs K/A/Taytay. nd it really looks like they do not go easy on taylor, thankfully. I am surprised to see Adrianne seemingly sticking up and defending taylor in the promo given how she acted in the previous episode. brandi is clearly making a play for fulltime housewive, and if she brings it at the reunion she should get it. LOL at Dana not even being in the promo!

Yeah, Brandi already cemented her place on the series. Brandi and Dana were both (smartly) given a test run and it's clear who won out. Shame for Dana, because you *know* Bravo would've loved filming her lavish wedding in Paris, but she just didn't catch on with viewers or the fellow wives. Stick her on OC at best, those losers might be impressed with her. When Watch What Happens Live did the poll for Favorite RHOBH, Lisa came in first and Brandi came in second. Kyle was a strong third and Taylor/Kim tied for last place with 2% of the vote. What does that tell you?

I feel like I'm setting myself up for disappointment, but I really cannot stomach another season of Taylor. She is truly a sick person, a phony, a money hungry grifter and not pleasant in any way. I don't want her dominating another season with all of her lies and manipulation. I wouldn't mind Kim sticking around, if only for the rumored addition of Kathy Hilton to the cast.

Yep, which is true. I can't wait to see Kyle and Adrienne clutching pearls at that when even THEY (especially Adrienne!!!) didn't believe Taylor's claims. Just because Russell killed himself doesn't mean he was the monster Taylor makes him out to be, it just means it's easier for her to pin it on him because he isn't there to defend himself. Now I do believe there probably was abuse, but I doubt it was one-sided or an open and shut case. I certainly don't think it's as bad as Taylor makes it out to be. Unfortunately for Russell, he didn't get to see the show and that the other women actually had POSITIVE things to say about him and didn't believe her claims. He didn't get a chance to clear his name which was so sad. I wouldn't have minded a true and honest conversation about their relationship, but all we get is spin.

Yes it looks like they're ganging up on Lisa at the reunion, and there's whispers online that people (i.e. Kyle) are turning their backs on her. And to that I say, "who the eff cares." She's fabulous and in a league way above any of the rest of 'em. They can mock her appearance on CNN as a royal wedding "expert", but guess what, she pulled it off beautifully. I'm guessing it'll be Adrienne & Lisa that have not-so-nice things to say about Lisa, though I would think Taylor would be pro-Lisa since she so desperately wanted to be her friend. Camille will be neutral, as she was all season long.

I definitely think this season was can't-miss all the way through. It certainly did not drag on & on & on like New Jersey did (how many Christmas-themed episodes were there? Oy...) I'll most likely get Season 2 on DVD when it comes out. Can't say the same for new Jersey's Season 3.

    • I recall @Chris B asking about this but here is an interview Sheri Anderson did with SOU back in the fall of ‘89: Here is an article that I think is interesting, it is an interview with Shery Anderson, screenwriter of the ninth season THE WRITE STUFF: FALCON CREST’S SHERI ANDERSON: FROM DAYS TO NIGHTTIME By Richard Spencer Soap Opera Update, 1989 : At a time when the success of nighttime soaps is shaky, Sheri Anderson, former headwriter for DAYS OF OUR UVES, ANOTHER WORLD, GUIDING LIGHT and GENERAL HOSPITAL, makes the jump to the evening format with some new ideas to help strenthen the CBS California vineyard based soap opera FALCON CREST. "FALCON CREST is going to have a differnet tone that it never had before," headwriter Sheri Anderson expiains. "The people that I am working with are kind of an interesting mix. The executive producer, Joel Sumow, did the first years of MIAMI VICE and THE EQUALIZER, Bob Cochran, a Harvard MBA,and Cyrus Nowrasteh, who has done a number of features, are story editors. I am co-porducer, with a history in daytime, so we are a real different mix. We all kind of balance each other out in different ways. I am sort of the emotional side (coming from daytime) and they are more the gritty side." A lack of focus is what Sheri attributes to FALCON CREST's problems the last few seasons. "No one , seemed to knwo that the characters' motivations were. Pilar was a real good example. No one seemed to know what she wanted. This season it is clear that Pilar wants Lance. That is really her dream and goal tokeep Lance. She will do anything to do that. She will be making some sacrifices thís season that really jeopardize her relationship with Lance." While Pilar's character may be strongly in place, Maggie's is not. How will the show restructure in light of Maggie's drowning? " We are not trying to replace her, but we are adding another kind of strong heroine character. That character is Laruren Daniels. She's very earthy; married to a construction worker. Lauren. is the sister of Michael Sharp, Gregory Harrison's new character. "Michael is an extremely powerful adversary to Richard Channing. He will be more cynical than Richard and less emotionally motivated. For Michael it is all power and money. The audience will be more sympathetic toward Richard. He will be going through hell," Sheri reveáis with doom in her voice, "...Paying for his past sins " The complete opposite of Richard or Michael's intensity is the the new character of Charlíe St. James."Charlie is every woman's foolish choice," Sheri character sketches. "He's kind of indescribable; charismatic, totally unpredictable, charming, unnervtng. He's coming in as a love interest for Emma. He will be the first man to make Emma feel like a woman. She's really not victimized by him...she’s addicted to him. Charlie's presence will make her a little less flakey this season." But Emma is not the only one in store for major personality changes, also in the categroy is Frank. "We arebringing back somebody from his past," Sheri reveals "there will be a great secret that will come to ight." Speaking of characters from the past, are there any Sheri would like to return? "Everyone is fond of Ana-Alicia in her original role. At this point we don't have any plans to bring her back because we have some other character that are going to take the forefront." And if one thing is going to remain the same, it will be what Sheri recognizes as the theme of FALCON CREST "Quest for control of Falcon Crest. We have people trying to take control, and they are all taking it for different reasons. Some are emotioanl, some are revenge, but they each have a different eason for which they want Falcon Crest. And that is really the pivotal center. It is very earthy." Keeping the core of lite show intact is not the only thing nighttime shows have to do to stay interesting and acording to Sheri"I din't think night time shows have kept paces with changes in the viewing audience," Sheri answers by analyzing what exactly is primetime soaps* problem. ln datyime, you do over the years the shows stay on, but you are adapting to what people are accepting:faster-paced, or slower, or addíng more comedy, depending on the audience, and what they are buying. I don't think some of these shows in primetime have done that "We are trying to make the show as much episodio as it is continuing. We are cutting down the number of scenes in each act to get the audience more involved. But some of the shows, and this happens in daytime al so, don’t let the characters really grow," Sheri certainly made chracters develop during her daytime career, but especially on DAYS OF OUR LIVES, which is the source for her favourite stories of her careen ”When Víctor carne to Salem and revealed tha the was really Bo’s father, it caused such a ripple effect for Kim, Shane, Román, Bo, Hope, Caroline and Sean. I also liked bringing Kayla back for Patch.” Having written for Kristian Alfonso' s Hope (DAYS) and now Pilar on FC, Sheri distínguishes between the two characters. "Pilar is a woman, but Hope was growing up. Hope was more innocent and Pilar is not Pilar has an intelligent strength where Hope did all the wrong things for all the right reasons." Pilar wíll be the only one retuming from her family, while Angela Channing’s appearances will be limited (per Jane Wyman's contract). "But Richard will be taking a very strong role which is very similar to Angela Angelad presence will be felt in every epísode/ Sheri informs. A lot of people complained about the women of FALCON CREST being wishy-washy They certainly aren't this season Sheri emphasizes. "Lauren will be strong, especially after her brother Michael steais Richard’s children and places them with her, Frnak’s step daughter will be very devious, indicateive of Kathleen Turner in “Body Heat” And Gregory Harrison is fabulous," Sheri reports with joy. "He is so different from his character on TRAPPER JOHN, M.D He is very similar to Michael Douglas in the film 'Wall Street'. FALCON CREST viewers will find a much richer textrae, getting away from the glamour and really going to substance and style." Sheri concludes, "it will be a show to watch, We are trying to bring in a new audience, and at the same time, respect our past audience."
    • Well, if he's had a series of mini-strokes along the way (which, IIRC, he did), then that influences things. I can say, from my experience of having had two full-blown strokes, that recovery periods were very, very different, both in terms of difficulty and length of time.
    • Whhhhhhhhhhhattttttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was everybody out this weekend.
    • She did have a thing with him in the late '90s, before she inexplicably disappeared with no mention as to why, although I can't remember if they had sex.
    • I don't believe she did. She did sleep with Simon, believing he was a Spaulding.
    • -- If I ever get sick, please don't send me to Garland Memorial. That hospital is a YIKES. -- Soooo much activity around the main nurses' desk. Do they move dead people on a gurney past that desk, too? -- 8 months for Bill to recover from a "small stroke"? Uh....I don't think so. Is anyone researching this stuff? The hospital stuff is not coming off as realistic. -- It's good that Derek and Ashley are being integrated into other stories, but it's a real stretch to say Leslie was "stalking" Ashley. It makes Derek seem dumber than we already think he is. -- Ashley spends a lot of time having small talk while she's at work. -- Chelsea is embarrassing. Period. -- Tomas is supposed to pick up the slack for Bill, but he has time to have worthless conversations with Leslie? OK then. -- Kat is destroying the case against Leslie, but that's clearly the way to keep Leslie on the canvas.
    • 6-3   I almost let my system just delete the episode just like with B&B. I am now questioning if I should have. lol.   I just can't believe that Cole sat there and started to get sick and then only Victoria off and ran off and everyone basically went back to what they were doing at Nikki's birthday party. Cole was too much of a vet character for that. And now story back off-screen.   I did chuckle at how much Victor pay Kyle dust. And now Kyle with this deal and a promise to leave town if he hurts Claire. smh. As if Victor isn't going to make that happen.   It was lovely to see Ashley. And actually (misdressed and all) Abby.    And I liked Claire's dress.
    • Oh. That. I pretend that never happened.

I did think of another possibility. Did India ever sleep with Alan? They kind of toyed with pairing them up, but I'm not sure they ever became lovers.
    • While I do love the chaotic energy that is Kat vs Lesile, it is a bit extra. Sheltered, virginal Kat who plays it safe from her man to her wardrobe understands that Leslie is dangerous, but she's out here showing up everywhere and anywhere that Lesile is to be found and actively going to places where she is alone? I mean Kat doesn't even act a little afraid or intimidated by Leslie. Meanwhile, big Ole Derek out here begging for his and Ashley's life to Jacob.  As for Dani, I didn't see it that way. Dani and Bill were together for 30 years and shared a family. I believe there was real love there at one point. Bill is still an ass and Dani is still crazy, but realizing she may lose him and her daughter's may lose their dad definitely struck a chord.
    • Funny I randomly saw Kami’s lengthy post about the 44th anniversary of the Walton’s finale last week pop up in my news feed on Facebook. A few inaccuracies to her post but overall it was pretty insightful and interesting to read.
