I am not impressed. The shots, the whole thing felt thrown together and unimaginative although I bet Phelps spent hours on it.

Kudos to Jason Cook making the credits. He gets more airtime there than on the show. Frons won't cut him loose because he knows that Days would sign him in a hot second.

Sonya Eddy is the only black person in PC. Since she isn't a size 4, it must have killed Phelps to have to put her in the credits.

But seriously, why didn't they do this in a 16:9 ratio? I do not get that at all. Yeah, let's do the whole show in 16:9 and our opening in 4:3? Makes no sense.

this was only an online clip. We dont know yet if the opening that shows up on air will be widescreen

Perhaps for an apperance, maybe. But i would be shocked at anything more than that. If the show wanted Shawn, we would have a recasted Shawn.

Steve Burton, Tyler Christopher, and Kimberly McC must all have a festering evil lurking within destroying them physically bit by bit. Their photos were all pretty unfortunate.

Yes. Because they are ACTORS, darling. Don't you know that GH's cast always think they are doing Shakespeare while the rest of Daytime is merely reciting lines aloud? And the ACTING doesn't end with a speaking scene -- oh no! That's why they are all fronting like a Metamucil ad campaign in those opening credits. It's what ACTORS like Tyler Christopher and Steve Burton DO.

I didn't think the opening was THAT bad. At least the colors are somewhat brighter and not quite as seizure inducing. I wish they would have not done the actorcharacter names and just stuck with the actor names, but I can live with it.

They are inappropriate. Whereas those blue/black tones made perfect sense knowing the dark, sinister and mob-infested world of Port Charles, these washed out grey/white/sand/whatever angelic colours make no sense.

I could see a Lost-esque opening for General Hospital. And I hate Lost's opening, I just mean the concept: spooky blake, show's title appears from pitch black depths over sinister, howling sounds... And then BANG!

I think the opening has a lot of potential, if it were re-edited. It reminds me of a less well executed version of this.

Walking down the stairs (lady of the house) and then there are certain shots from this and this...
