And Cane dismissing the woman who could have easily turned her back on him after she found out he lied about being Phillip, but treated as if he was her own. That, in and of itself, is out of character for Jill anyway. But does Cane really have no thoughts, no feelings about the way Tucker treated his mother? Or that his mother is hurting or is in pain? All for more propping of Cane and Granny Cooper.

Pretty much. I can't believe she was arrogant enough to think she could pull THAT ONE off. Mel Harris can't play feisty socialite bitch for sh*t.

If they see Mel Harris as sexier than Jess Walton then no wonder the show is off. I like Mel, but I don't think of her as sexy.

And of course there was the wonderful Kelly McGillis recast rumor...

I didn't hear the Kelly McGillis rumors, but I definitely heard Mel Harris was thisclose to being cast as Jill. I don't claim to be some insider with all the goss, so don't take my word for it.

Can anyone tell me what the point of the Billy/Jack stuff was? I know Billy being a big baby is supposed to be fun or hot or whatever but didn't they make a big deal last fall about how desperately he wanted to get away from Jabot?
