Plastic Surgery of the Soap Stars

Silicone. Low grade, industrial silicone oil. The same type of silicone oil used to lubricate auto parts. Priscilla went to a party hosted by Diane Richie (the recent ex-wife of the wonderful and talented Lionel) and was injected by an Argentine doctor who didn't have a medical license in the USA. This would be 9 years ago or so? She's had corrective work to try and remove the silicone, but the truth is once liquid silicone is in you it's very difficult to remove due to scar tissue and body absorption.

Silicone oil, pharmaceutical grade, is sometimes used in treating lipoatrophy in patients suffering from HIV/Aids, but even then, there are better, safer, more reliable alternatives like Radiesse or Sculptra, in addition the hyaluronic acids I mentioned.

Damn. Whoever did that to her should be in jail, imo. Even though I think the was insane not to go to the best doctor she could find. If you are as beautiful and rich as she was, why do anything with your face at a freaking party?

For years, a lot of financially challenged inner city male to female transexuals have relied on shady silicone specialists to inject their faces, chests, and hips for more feminine features. It's more recently caught on with women and there have been quite a few disastrous (i.e., fatal or disfiguring) cases that have made the news.

I think Chad Michaels (the one who looks like Cher) from the current RuPaul's Drag Race commented on how he and/or drag queens he knows have suffered from bad injections from less than trustworthy doctors.

When I saw Morgan Fairchild on the Fran Drescher show, I immediately thought of asking DaytimeFan. I mean, she doesn't look BAD, but she certainly doesn't look natural. I think she had unnecessary surgery, much like Heather Locklear's work in 2010.

It's too bad, because Morgan has managed to look perfect for a very long time. But it'll go down and look more natural. She's like Susan Lucci, they know how they look and they know how they look best. There was an article on her when she was doing The City and Catherine Hickland mentioned how she always looked amazing at the end of the day, blotting her face with kleenex and such, while her (Catherine's) makeup would be melted and sliding down her face. Morgan knows her look is her brand is her business and she's fine tuned it. I also remember her saying that people often told her, "Oh, you can wear ANYthing" and she said that's not at all true, some colors look awful on her, but she knows all the colors that look great and those are the ones that she wears.

The Argentine doctor who injected Priscilla Presley plead guilty in 2006 to conspiracy, smuggling and use of unapproved drugs. He served 18 months in federal prison before being arrested once his term was served and deported.

I wonder what Lisa Rinna has had done around her cheeks. Is that filler? The lips didn't bother me, it's more the lack of movement due to the cheeks which distracted me.

  • Member

More filler, and she's admitted such. She said she saw pics of herself and thought she looked over-inflated. She vowed to give the injectables a long break.

Lisa's lips are thanks to the aforementioned injectable silicone. She had them done years ago. I remember seeing a preview for her reality show where she was seeing a plastic surgeon about having them reduced/corrected. I believe she did in fact have that additional surgery.

Someone in the soap industry who I think has had actual cheek implants is that woman from Sunset Beach who did the porn. I think Diller's cheek implants look good and I'm sure there are many other good examples, but a rather well-respected plastic surgeon once told me that he thinks cheek implants have very unpredictable results and he doesn't do them.

Who was the Sunset Beach woman? I know Kelli McCarty did (I think she was on Passions).

Suzanne Somers is on Shop NBC right now. She does a good job of hiding a lot of potential wear behind bangs. The only real eye-grabber is the rubber lips.

Suzanne let us know that her skin-sucker product - which makes the models look like burn victims - is made from the same ingriedients which helped keep Japanese men from committing suicide in the 80's. My jaw dropped...

Yes, she casually pointed out to us at home that one of the products in her skin sucker is what was given to Japanese men in the 80's when they were all killing themselves due to their economy. So I guess her products cure cancer and prevent suicide, and give you nice skin.

The host, for some reason, took some time to bitch about the model in the little film intro and how she was "going too fast" with the skin cleaning machine, and she and Suzanne thought she was just too young and inexperienced. I guess they know their demo, don't they?

I haven't yet. It seemed too much like a PR stunt to me. I guess I will soon.

I posted the first part of it in the Three's Company thread in the Primetime Oxides board if you're interested.

Yes, that Kelli McCarty woman was a real piece of work. Literally. And Carolyn Hinsey would hint at her all the time in her weekly column in SOD. It makes no sense for a young woman that age to have had all that work done to her face. Youth is what the women over 40 are envious of, and here is this girl in her 20's making changes to her face that a woman reaching 50 in Hollywood would be doing.

I just met Lisa yesterday at an event here in Chicago (yay!) and she looks good and her lips aren't as ridiculous as they used to be. But she definitely has a look on her face like she's constantly sucking in her cheeks like she's about to make a duck face. I still like her though :)

I'm hoping that Susan Lucci doesn't do something ridiculous to her gorgeous face since she's going to be in primetime and in HD if her new pilot gets picked up.
