Members Y&RWorldTurner
LOL! I would love it, I don't blame Letterman for still hating Leno after all these years.

Members DRW50
I just hate the idea of Leno waltzing back in, with that awful perma-smirk of his, and everything going back to normal. I am going to assume the ratings will be good but I will be very happy if they aren't.
Members Juliajms
Same here. I don't want this to end well for NBC. I can't even put my finger on why this pisses me off so much. It just does.
Members DaytimeFan
Very well said. Jay Leno is loved by his guests because he's a softball interview, he never puts anyone on the spot the way Letterman does...but everyone in the business knows what a bastard Leno can be and how totally insecure he is. On her blog, Rosie O'Donnell stated the following: Branden Tartikoff came back stage asked me to do fridays for leno like joan did leno was on having taken over from johnny ratings were not good at first a bus a glorious beautiful amazing american bus we all have been on it only one gets to drive it steve allen jack parr johnny carson jay leno conan obrein 5 years ago they told - promised twenty ten u r in money heartless addicting business is business its not personal well it is we just watched leno bully his was back into college so he could be quaterback still - again maybe for the first time tonya hardings beau used a bat i respect him more So it's plain to see that Leno has been at this sort of behaviour for a long time. He wouldn't let Rosie be a guest host and he was furious that Conan took over for him. It's odd, the Tonight Show is such a beloved program, yet it has such a tempestuous history. First, Johnny Carson vs Joan Rivers (Team Joan) and now Leno vs O'Brien (Team O'Brien)
Members dragonflies
We've got Tonight? Not after Jan. 22. Conan O'Brien's last night as host of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien will likely be next Friday, a source close to O'Brien tells PEOPLE. "Conan does not currently plan on doing any more new shows after next week,” says the source. NBC declined comment. On Tuesday, the host released a statement saying that he would not go along with NBC's plan for him to host a relocated Tonight Show at 12:05 a.m., following The Jay Leno Show at 11:35 p.m. "I cannot participate in what I honestly believe is [The Tonight Show's] destruction," said O'Brien. If Jan. 22 is indeed O'Brien's final broadcast, the show will have ended two weeks before NBC’s scheduled preemption for its 2010 Winter Olympics coverage. http://www.people.com/people/article...336890,00.html
Administrator Toups Posted January 15, 2010 Administrator Share Posted January 15, 2010 Really, Rosie? Ummm....that was a real crime. Leno had a right to be furious, he was pushed out when he was #1. If I was Leno, I would've been mad too. In this situation, I think Leno gets too much blame. He wasn't the one who demanded to go back to late night. Members DRW50
I guess I am sick of NBC getting a pass for their stupid decisions, and I'm sick of smug Leno, who always panders to the lowest common denominator, getting to move all over the NBC schedule. I don't watch a lot of late night talk in general but when I have seen Leno's show there's often such a mean-spirited undertone to his "regular guy" act. He just repulses me. Members dragonflies
I agree Toups. An article I saw: Sources close to former 'Tonight Show' host Jay Leno tell me he is furious with the way NBC has treated him and Conan O'Brien and is considering walking away from the entire mess with his head held high. "Now that Conan has made it clear he is leaving the troubled network, Jay is considering doing the same. They have put Jay in a terrible position. It looks like he is the reason that Conan is now without a job. Jay is a great guy and it's not fair that due to NBC's stupidity he looks like the bad guy," a TV insider tells me. "Plus, what happens when Jay does return to the 11:35 slot if his audience doesn't immediately follow? How can he possibly trust the same network that canceled Conan after only seven months?" Check out the ethos on Jay! Good for him for sticking up for the guy he essentially got shoved out. And remember, if this mess continues and Jerry Seinfeld winds up on NBC yo heard it here first... http://www.popeater....no-leaving-nbc/

Members bellcurve
You know Jay Big Jaw Leno won't. He has no shame, no class whatsoever. He's a greedy, self-serving, SMUG animal. He probably planted that story in the media just like he and his shrewd business manager planted that story about Carson wanting to retire. I will be surprised if, after the first week, Jay recovers. He's left NBC in shambles after his 10PM fiasco. According to TWoP, he made a "joke" in his Monologue about the recent ratings spike on Conan's Tonight Show. He said, "You're welcome." What the hell is his f!cking problem?! How the hell will anyone want to watch him after the way he screwed Conan O'Brien over and is practically laughing about it on the air to his retirement home audience?! Here are snippets of Conan's monologue, which will be airing shortly: http://mediadecoder.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/01/14/conan-obriens-barbs-keep-coming/
