Quick question -- why did Chip Hayes all of a sudden write an episode for All My Children today (12-29), when he's still listed as an Associate Head Writer?

Could this mean a changing of the guard? He was a scriptwriter under Broderick back in January/February, then became an Assoc. HW in February along with her. Do Associate HW's sometimes write individual episodes? Seemed very weird to me. Although I did enjoy the episode and thought it was wonderfully written, not to mention some key characters were BACK in character today...
