Toups:

Carolyn wasn't listed in the OLTL extended xmas credit crawl...so I think she was gone in 2009

Also, does anyone know why the writers were listed the way they were in the OLTL xmas credits...It didn't seem alphabetical or senority..Fred Johnson wasn't listed with the other breakdown writers...weird.

who's carolyn's script editor replacement?

I believe Owen Renfroe accepted one year. I think it's who directed the episode that accepts? Unlike Frank Valentini who didn't let Larry Carpenter accept!

Carolyn's still in the episode credits. Katherine Schock's the new SE.

Owen accepted the year Joseph Behar, William Ludel, and Scott McKinsey couldn't attend. The announcer said Behar would be accepting for the team, but Owen got to do the honours in his absense. Behar was GH's Lead Director prior to Ludel, I believe.

Here's the clip:

Y&R:

Hogan Sheffer and Scott Hamner fired; Jack Smith returns as co-HW. I would suggest Kay Alden as well, but I fear B&B would fall to pieces (a la 2005-2007) if she left.

Rauch I can take or leave. The only thing in 2009 I thought was particularly badly produced was Colleen's death. TPTB didn't have the budget to make that work and they bit off more than they could chew.

B&B:

Patrick Mulcahey replaces Brad Bell as HW; Michael Minnis fired as co-HW (he has done NOTHING for the show).

Thanks for sharing all this.

I went on a tour of the AMC studios back in 1998 and Enza Dolce was the one who showed us around. She seemed like an extremely nice lady. On the other hand she was the one who directed that horrible Zarf music video haha. All I know about Aronson is that she, along with Judy Wilson, was one of TPTB who thought Aiden Turner just the bestest thing ever when he joined in 2002. They are both relatively young, I wonder what they plan to do for a living in New York now?

I like Michael Pomarico's directing but am not surprised he's not going. He's been with the show forever as technical director.

I really hope that Ginger Smith, who started off at the very bottom of the production staff about 20 years ago and worked her way up through every single position, is staying. They need someone in production who really knows AMC.

I hate that AMC is losing Tessinari. Her husband is some big athlete right?

I wonder why Francesca James will be directing in LA when she's been in New York for the last little while and only directed a handful of episodes?

AMC: Hal Corley, Frederick Johnson and Michelle Patrick re-join the writing staff as AHW/BD writers (either w/ Lorraine Broderick and/or Addie Walsh, or replacing them); most, if not all, of the current SW's replaced w/ Susan Dansby, Judith Donato, Mimi Leahey and Leslie Nipkow, respectively; and (long shot, but...) Michele Val Jean named AMC's 1st AA HW.

Quick question: On the OLTL and DOOL credits, is it the last person listed that writes the script for that given day? I believe there's always two people at the end of DOOL episodes, so is it the one before them? Any help appreciated :)

    • A--I wish someone would post a better vid of the entire ball, as it must be out there. And B--nope. Evie is only in a small segment of the ball with Phillip, Rick and Mindy. She doesn't dance at all. Ross dances with Helena and Amanda. I'm not even sure why Evie is at the ball---Vanessa heartily disliked her. I did see that Billy actually asked Henry to introduce him to Vanessa, which I hadn't realized.
    • Honestly, they should've ordered more of 2000 Malibu Road for the 1992-93 midseason and aired it when Knots went on a break. That was probably their best shot.    Then of course they fumbled Central Park West by airing it in the 9PM slot instead of a 10PM slot where it would've been away from the Fox dramas. CPW got its best rating by airing randomly on a Sunday and when it was taken off the air for a "re-tooling", Party of Five's ratings actually had a spike, so clearly they were feeding off each other. But being a smaller network focused on a certain demographic, Fox could afford to be patient Party of Five, CBS couldn't...
    • Agree on Bruce Gray as Owen; they needed to cast star power. He was too lightweight against Kim and he had no chemistry with Frances Fischer except more gay buddy or daddy figure.  I loved Nola and Eliot together though. Lee Godart should have been longer term.
    • Andre has the worst fashion of the males which is off putting for someone as fine as he is. His jackets and sweaters look dated and no vintage does not work for him
    • I don’t recall MSW having a toy line in the late 80’s or early 90’s like all those Saturday morning cartoons did LOL but thought this was cute when I saw it in a vintage toy store yesterday:

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
    • Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!
