I dont get why Pati is even still on the show. Are they trying to redeem her and reintegrate her into the show? That cant be the case bc if so, then what is the purpose of Emily? The show is extending a horrible story way past its expiratino date here

And that is why this 'relationship" is being so rushed. Just to get to the Emily/Patty switch. It is very plot driven just like the Sharon and Adam relationship. I wonder why they had Phyllis show up again at Jack's. Phyllis and Nick are done now. They have set up the scenerio that Phyllis hates Emily, so maybe they will revisit that. I wouldn't mind Diane and Kyle coming back and they need another teen male, but I don't see them doing that right now.

Patty and Emily are on the show because they love Stacy H and created this story to keep her around. Who cares if Jack looks like a sap who is so in love with the idea of love that he is ready to commit to any woman even one who looks exactly like the psycho who raped him. Beyond the switch I don't know how they will keep her around. Emily is a bore and even though both actors are really trying I can't see Jack and Emily as long term.

Being the Lauren and Michael fan that I am, I love all the romantic scenes they are sharing but I can't help but notice the ominous music they seem to be playing in the background and they are even more in love and happy then they usually are. That usually means some tragedy is heading there way.

I hope MAB is not dumb enough to kill off Lauren and that they actually have some twist here and that the person after the Baldwins is not Sheila. I feel caught between a rock and a hard place since I don't like the story they are in now with them being dumbed down so they can be manipulated by a 18 yr old Daisy played by a barely adequate actress, but I also don't want them relegated to the back burner again for months or even worse Lauren killed off.

And that will be a disaster and if MAB can't see that she is hopeless. That would be it for me. If she writes off Tracey Bregman to prop Phyllis and to give Michelle Stafford a story after Phyllis and Nick implodes while she keeps adding lousy actors and promoting chemistry free and even sick pairings than she has no understanding of her characters or the talent she is in charge off.

    • Correction, Chicago Hope 1994/95 was initially Thursday 9 pm, a CBS dead zone and head-to-head w/ Seinfeld. 1994/95 CBS Thursday 10 pm initially was Eye to Eye with Connie Chung. Later in the season CBS did a scheduling shift with Chicago Hope moving to Monday 10 pm, Eye to Eye with Connie Chung moving to Thursday 9 pm, and 48 Hours moving from Wednesday 10 pm to Thursday 10 pm.

    • A--I wish someone would post a better vid of the entire ball, as it must be out there. And B--nope. Evie is only in a small segment of the ball with Phillip, Rick and Mindy. She doesn't dance at all. Ross dances with Helena and Amanda. I'm not even sure why Evie is at the ball---Vanessa heartily disliked her. I did see that Billy actually asked Henry to introduce him to Vanessa, which I hadn't realized.
    • Honestly, they should've ordered more of 2000 Malibu Road for the 1992-93 midseason and aired it when Knots went on a break. That was probably their best shot.    Then of course they fumbled Central Park West by airing it in the 9PM slot instead of a 10PM slot where it would've been away from the Fox dramas. CPW got its best rating by airing randomly on a Sunday and when it was taken off the air for a "re-tooling", Party of Five's ratings actually had a spike, so clearly they were feeding off each other. But being a smaller network focused on a certain demographic, Fox could afford to be patient Party of Five, CBS couldn't...
    • Agree on Bruce Gray as Owen; they needed to cast star power. He was too lightweight against Kim and he had no chemistry with Frances Fischer except more gay buddy or daddy figure.  I loved Nola and Eliot together though. Lee Godart should have been longer term.
    • Andre has the worst fashion of the males which is off putting for someone as fine as he is. His jackets and sweaters look dated and no vintage does not work for him
    • I don’t recall MSW having a toy line in the late 80’s or early 90’s like all those Saturday morning cartoons did LOL but thought this was cute when I saw it in a vintage toy store yesterday:

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
