If "the boss" is Barbara Bloom, then I'd rather Maria lock her out of the studios.

I'd rather both women be locked out of the studio.

Oh please, I am going to take a gander and say that BB has the support of her bosses...and one said boss now reports directly to LM himself which should in a way make Y&R feel somewhat better and scare the S&^% out of them at the same time. This is one of those times when I am not going to take MAB's side of things. If the show plays their cards right and improve, this could be beneficial to them..otherwise CYA!!

As for MBE, I really like her and she is a good actress and looks amazing, but she's over 50, and that causes a chill to go up the spine of the likes of Rauch or Sheffer. I wouldn't worry about her being hired.

Hey! Mary Beth is 48!! :P

Then, by all means, let's cast the girl as Noah's new girlfriend from school! ;-)

Awww this made me like William Russ even more than I already did, what a class act:

Tell us about Tucker—the one that you’ll be playing. Will we see a big difference between you and Russ?

I’m not going to watch the other guy and see what he did, and nobody at Y&R asked me to do that, but I will tell you this: William Russ is a prince.

When I went to my dressing room for the first time I found a note he’d left for me on top of the television, telling me to have a great time in the role and hoping that everything goes well for me.

That’s unheard of!

He’s a real mensch, so I want to give a shout-out to him.

I want to know where he sees "character driven" stories on Y&R, and how he hasn't noticed the lazy and downright bad actors on the show, yet.

I look forward to seeing him, but I hate when people kiss the ass of their place of employment, when they don't have to, they can be polite without sounding as if they don't watch the show.

Or maybe he actually means what he said. (What a concept!)

Or maybe he's just being extra professional and happy Y&R even employed him as an actor, but oh dear, that's another concept, isn't it?

There is no reason to assume that. Some of us DO still think Y&R is good.

Assume what? He's being a professional throughout the entire interview, nothing wrong with that. Some of us just don't see what he was talking about, we are allowed to discuss that, right?

And I'm also sure he's very happy Y&R is employing him, or else he wouldn't have taken the job.

Some of us DO still think Y&R is good.

That's up to you, but has nothing to do with anything here. Some of us were merely stating our own interpretation of what we read and felt.

are we sure that MAB ass kissing isn't written into contracts? It is probably there in the fine print.

Like it was for LML.

You try working on Days for a few years and you'd think Y&R was brilliant too.
