It's shitty what it is. It's those crazy executives pulling a rank thinking they would attract more viewers if they bring in primetime stars to play the roles. It's as if every ex-daytime actor is pure crap and only forgotten primetime stars can now enter.

Well, it seems that McCrary is 6 years younger than Shemar. I guess it could be worse.... they could have moved Texas Battle over from B&B to play him

They could have also try for that guy who played Remy on GL to be Malcolm. GL is off the air. & he shouldn't be that rusty, like McCrary.

Ken Berry as John Abbott!

Barbara Walters as Dina Mergeron! John Stossell as Jack Abbott! Elizabeth Vargas as Isabella! Don't forget, 20/20 was still a part of TGIF!

Oh he was.

He's about as rusty as the Tin Man.

And not even that cute. Yuck.

I'll always wait for this version of Malcolm to get into some kind of trouble and then have Reginald VelJohnson and JoMarie Payton bringing some sort of a life lesson out of it.

MAKE. IT. HAPPEN. MARIA.

Pooch Hall is perfect for a Nate recast but too young to pull off Malcom. Darius is just ALL WRONG for this role both in terms of charisma and looks. If anything, I could see him playing a back from the dead Nate, Sr.

This thread is making me laugh so hard, all of the other people in this library are staring at me. I wonder if I tell them that Eddie Winslow will be playing Malcolm on Y&R they'll understand why I'm dying here.

I love all these random sitcom people from the 70s, 80s, and 90s getting work in daytime. What next, I ask. WHAT NEXT?! Mindy Cohn as Traci Abbott?

WAY WAY WAY too young.

Mindy Cohn as Traci Abbott?

Charlotte Rae as Joanna Manning!

Maybe (okay, probably) an unpopular opinion, but if Nate returned from the dead I'd want either the original (for old times sake!) or the final Nate. I know he was too young, but I thought he was so, so cute. And not a bad actor. I wouldn't mind him popping up on another soap.

I guess some soap fans can act like dickheads sometime and don't want a black actor to work?

Whatever happen to given an actor or actress a chance to play the role? Why does it have to be some jack-off to you guys because someone was on a TGIF sitcom?
