Most of the storylines I remember and love go way back

Who remembers the Gaslight storyline where Sara marries Lee Gantry on the rebound from Joe.  It was at an old country farmhouse.   Gantry with the help of his blackmailing housekeeper Miss Foss (played by Jan Sterling) tried to make Sara go mad to get her money

I remember them opening the loose brick in the attic (almost daily) that hid his first wife’s diary.  And as a kid I vividly remember seeing Miss Foss fall from the attic window and seeing her dead with eyes wide open

This is the way to write soaps

Wow..O'leary was eating the scenery there..I never saw it before but Clark could have played O'leary's dad. I wish NuPhillip was playing someone else. he is good, just not Phillip and he was one of the only guys Adams had chemistry with.  Loved Alex here...the later writers should have watched these kinds of scenes.  Good ole Alicia Rohmer..soon to be killed herself.

Zimmer is all kinds of annoying here (yes, yes, we know your there...)..poor Maeve stuck in a collar here on her way to being meek Van..though I loved her having some steel in her voice. I liked Trish...she was a good actress. You can see they were thinking that Kyle can replace Alan Spaulding here...not quite.

The Kevin Mambo interview was decent

I liked how he eluded to Dinah and Marcus should have been a couple.

He gave praise to Zaslow, Deas, and Zimmer. He learned a lot from those three.

He hasn't seen Sharon Leal and Amelia Marshall in forever

His Emmy story was hilarious

A lot of actors can say they beat Jonathan Jackson, Nathan Fillion, and Shemar Moore for a Emmy  in the same year

This is an unpopular opinion but I liked John Bolger as Phillip. But I was never much of a fan of Grant Aleksander’s.

Note to Alexandra and Beth: if you don’t want to talk to a reporter, just keep walking and don’t engage. It’s silly if you tell them you don’t want to answer questions, and then just stand there and let them ask you questions.

Bolger was great..he was just too different from GA to be an immediate recast. He seemed more like Bernau's bio son then Phillip...(would he have been the real Spaulding heir, who actually had lived and came back to take Phillip on.) Or if he played a corporate raider in cahoots with India...he was one of the few men that MKA had chemistry with.

Speaking of MKA...I LOVE her as India...she just brings the right blend of mischief, along with that hurt deep down and the few times she shows she has a heart. Long really knew how to write for her but I don't think that anyone else did...she never fit into the role of trouble making "vixen" so it was difficult.

I thought Judi Evans, Beth, Mary Sue that she was..was not an annoying as say, Lily Snyder...I think Evans worked against the writing sometimes to bring Beth down to earth.

The clips above show what a mess the show had become at that time, (though interesting to see Parker's first few months) Faux Ed, unexplainably bitchy Claire, Simon and Jesse (ugh) Alex being stupid and thinking white bred Simon is her brother, crazy Cain, boring Maeve and Kyle. Though I really liked Reva at this time, brought back down to earth and not hyper ventilating over a great love, and actually loved the Fletcher/Reva friendship...I loved when she accuses him of being jealous and he just blows it off as ridiculous and you can see Reva covering up her disappintment.  And I HATE Fletcher but he was good doing this kind of stuff.

    • It should be in its synopsis on the DVR description of the show.
    • Well, in a way DAYS "Renee Dumonde DiMera Threw a Party & Invited Everyone & Then Told the Whole Town Off" if you see what I mean. She definitely pretended that she was throwing this shindig for a pleasant reason while she KNEW her real intent wasn't pleasant AT ALL. And, everyone in Salem was targeted by her in this way.  I mean it was supposedly a celebration of her engagement. But, that is not what happened! I think it checks off all your boxes.
    • What's with this show constantly encouraging women to take back men who aren't worth a damn, then end up doing it lol. This was realistically a 4-episode week considering all the flashbacks to the showstopper can collectively form a 19-minute episode on its own.
    • Another episode uploaded. Love Chandler introduction.

    • Naomi was in Monday's episode, though the client wasn't. Naomi and Jacob were at Uptown with Chelsea, Allison, Derek, and Ashley. And what an amazing episode that was today. Tricia Mann-Grant was absolute perfection as was Ambyr Michelle. I cannot wait to see Dana mix it up with the Duprees, especially Anita.
    • This is me *pea green with envy* *sigh* The Reva vortex was like an F5 tornado. Widespread mayhem and damage.
    •  Yeah, I guess what easily comes to mind are guests who have taken advantage of a situation to reveal a secret (e.g. the mistress stopping a wedding to say that they're pregnant), or a host who planned an event to reveal things (like John Dixon's plan to humiliate Lisa at their engagement party on ATWT). But, that's a whole other level, where you can manipulate someone to throw a party in order to ruin it.
    • Not the community penis. Providing his service pro bono...I can't with his thirsty a**. Any chance that the OG Ted can come back as his brother back from the dead who died in the plane crash. It would give Andre family, too.
    • Now that Leslie has had her fun what is she hoping for now? If I were Ted I'd be on the prowl for a hitman. Take her OUT! The new Ted, known for playing vile characters, just might do that.
    • To be clear, I know there have been a gazillion reveals at events on soaps. But these are usually events that would happen anyhow, like a city commemoration or a long-planned wedding. My *specific* question:  Has a character ever orchestrated an event to occur, for a seemingly benevolent reason, but actually for the sole purpose of spilling a reveal at the party, to the surprise of the event planners/hosts. Specifically: an event that the event hosts wouldn't have thought of making happen, and the hosts planned this event -- only due to the seemingly-innocent urging of the outside instigator who is secretly planning the reveal. This is NOT about an event that would have happened anyways. My reason for asking:  April/May 2025, on BeyondTheGates, a couple was NOT planning a wedding anniversary party.  But there was a plot by an instigator to convince the couple to have the party, and the motivation for this was so that the instigator could do a big reveal. The party wouldn't have happened if the instigator hadn't suggested it. I'm wondering if this has ever happened before on a soap, that a big event came into existence due to the plotting of the revealers.
