One of the best episodes so far! Mathematically amazing! 1 hour ago, Maxim said: Favorite moment - there are so many of them. I would like to start with this cute little moment that made both me and my husband laugh. Felicia's reaction to her turning 40 soon. Girl, I feel like screaming too, because in a few weeks I turn 30! OY! Girlfriend basically acts out massively over this birthday!

Pat took her over to Days in 81 and trained her for six months on the show before Pat left and she became HW for 2.5 years. Interesting that Monty hired her as an assistant after MDP had an established writing career. Here are GH 79 credits with MDP listed as assistant. Then why is she listed as co-head writer for 1980-1981 in practically every site I checked? Are all of them wrong? I am not saying you are wrong... I'm just shocked such level of misinformation has been spread from site to site. Thank you for telling me. 6 minutes ago, Contessa Donatella said: Remind me who is already the fave? January 14, 2025Jan 14 Member Interesting seeing Tom Eplin. In hindsight, he retired after leaving ATWT in 2002. Was his retirement hs choice or was he blacklisted from the industry? He's never done any AW retrospectives or interviews about his career. Again, his choice or was he blacklisted? Whatever happened, it looks like he saved his money or invested wisely. He really should have been playing a new, different character when he went to ATWT. Edited January 14, 2025Jan 14 by Jdee43

After ATWT the only dramatic thing he did, that I am aware of anyway, was this horror flick, he played action/adventure leader type. He also wrote & directed.

There was this one time, in Toronto, at a fan event, where he was involved with a fan & she was underage but he didn't know that & she lied & said she was 21. It was a minor scandal but it came to nothing in the long run. I'm not aware of any reason why he would be blacklisted & in fact this is the first time I've heard anyone mention anything of the sort. I think it's just because he seemed to vanish.
January 14, 2025Jan 14 Member Does anyone happen to have a screen capture of Beverly Penberthy's (AW's Pat Randolph) appearance in an episode of "Now and Again" in 1999. This seems to be her last on-camera performance to date.

January 14, 2025Jan 14 Member My earliest memory of Another World is in 1977 and I remember so much from that point on. However, I have zero memory of Pat (Beverly Penberthy), John (Michael M Ryan) or Russ (David Bailey). I think it is so odd considering how important they were. When I saw the 25th anniversary episodes with Beverly and then later YouTube episodes I was so impressed with her.

Ryan and Penberthy are definitely standouts, although the former seemed to be on the way out by that point. There is something so compelling about Ryan. I think he's a real DILF before the term was used. If AW had been a bit sleazier seeing him get involved with one of Marianne's friends might have been interesting (if horribly traumatizing for the family - poor Aunt Liz would need oxygen). But, I kinda fall down on the men. Russ, I do remember. But, John, not so much. I don't really get into any man until Cass. Then, Carl, Michael, John, Vince. And, it's weird to me but I don't remember the twins. Or Joey & Angie. Of course I remember Ada & OG Rachel, although I do not remember the 2nd Rachel. Why I recall some & not others is puzzling to me. 1 hour ago, Xanthe said: Can't put a screen cap in the post but here's the episode. Penberthy appears about 35 minutes in. A lot of my earliest memories are just of the freeze frame and therefore the moment of the highest drama, and I don't picture Pat in any of those situations. But watching eps that are available online, Pat was certainly familiar although John is not. Beverly Penberthy's voice strikes me as very warm and appealing.
