Exactly. The plots are based in character. In order for them to make sense they take time to build. I really dig it. Bill Bell and Kay Alden had that pace and MAB has returned to it, thankfully.

That hack bitch from the depths of hell simply pulled plot out of her expanding (and contracting and expanding) ass.

I love seeing Jabot back in the hands of the Abbott family. Even though I like this little Victor-Jill partnership, I still wouldn't like them to manage to return Jabot back in Jill's hands completely.

Why did Yolanda file a missing child report if she had no plans to come and pick Ana up? I know Chene Lawson isn't returning, but couldn't they have done something about this?

Good question!

It makes no sense at all, unless...

... do you think Tyra ENGINEERED that? As a ploy to get Neil to marry her? Except it backfired?

Might we finally see that there is a darker, nastier, more conniving Tyra in behind the facade?

I agree and I'm finding the character driven storyline's are way more interesting to watch than the hag's plot driven messes.

I hated that crying scene!! Could it have been that she realized how badly she screwed all of this up and has left herself without an option?

We'll see. But I think they won't do that. It seems that the writers don't spend that much time developing or going into details with a story like the A families. It's just something they throw in to fill a certain episode without much thought.

Katherine just needs to have a DNA test done. They can compare it to anything in the Chancellor mansion- hairbrush, toothbrush, ect. Its pretty simple.

I really would have rather had Katherine stay in her Marge state until February sweeps. Her and Murphy's romance could have developed a little more, we could have had more Jill vs. Esther (LOVE it) but on the minus side it would have meant over a month more of daily scenes of Mother Fisher in the clink with no makeup.

I LOVE JILL in any business situation. And I am so glad that Nikki is on tomorrow!

Wow, for the first time in the SharinitwithJack Marriage, Sharon actually put in a performance!!!

And I have always liked that actress playing the marriage counselor. I have a feeling she was on some tv show I liked, way back when, but can't remember which one.

Hmmm.....does anyone else see a Kevin + Amber fling coming up? And the Baldwins really are getting in with the Chancellors. Even though i originally hated how kevin's money problems sprung up from nowhere while his mom was still rich and out of jail, I kinda like the twist of him giving Murphy the money and helping Katherine. Micael's getting in it too. Can't wait to see what Nikki and Amber do. This is gonna be real good now that Kay is out of jail.

The Jack and Jill scenes were delish! It's hard to imagine them ever being lovers, though. But Jill has truly changed from vixen to battleaxe.

    • I stopped watching Another World in 1990. Simply, lost interest in the show.  I had watched the show from 1973 to 1990. The 90 minute show started the decline of AW.  NBC panicked with expanding AW due to the GH hoopla. As mentioned above, 1982 was a trainwreck for AW.  The introduction of the Shea family, the movie storyline involving Jamie, and Steve Frame favoring Rachel over Alice. The writers went into that direction due to the forgettable performance of Linda Borgeson.

    • Ive seen that theory thrown out but the one thing against it is that Leslie and her family lived in Chicago. She only came back to DC last year after her husband died. Unless they say Alan made a trip to DC and died while away, she wouldnt know about that. However I do think the angle of her finding out that Martin was involved could work as that gives her leverage against Bill too for covering it up. She'd want to get revenge on him by threatening to have him disbarred
    • What a good write-up @Errol! Nice seeing the nod to Duplaix's lead.
    • The Egypt location shoot was cancelled because of the Achille Lauro cruise ship hijacking

    • And, to me it is a little bit hilarious that AW fans all over continue to refer to it as Egyptian Dust Recently elsewhere I've been running polls. When did you stop watching AW or What storyline caused you to stop watching AW. You may be interested to know that sticking it out till the bitter end is winning by a landslide. Next highest vote getter is - no surprise - Frankie's murder. So that covers like 60% & next 20%. Then the votes drop way down to 10% and well below but a wide array of reasons are given, including but not limited to  Justine Lumina Rachel having twins at her age, how ridiculous Mac's death the 90 minute show firing JC, George R & Dwyer Hmm, I know there are a few more, in the 1%-3% range but I cannot think of what they are. Sorry, my bad. Should have made notes but I didn't know I would be posting about it. LOL!!
    • A kind angel has added both episodes to the vault (UK Diva TV broadcast version).
    • Yes, I think that is the most likely situation.  TPTB were unhappy with the offer(s) they got from the tourism board in Finland, and decided the trip was going to be too expensive for P&G/NBC to finance alone.   I would also speculate a similar situation likely occurred a few years later with the planned location shoot in Egypt, which was also cancelled after the storyline had already started, and changed to Arizona.
