  1. I am glad someone does!! Y&R can suck it as far as I'm concerned. What a snooze.

    Thanks

  2. GH had excellent background music too. They used Score Productions as well in the 80's. I loved the music they used during the Wes Kenney era in the late 80's. GH used to use soundtracks from films too. They used a few scores from "Flowers In The Attack" during alot of Olivia Jerome's storyline.
  3. I know exactly the music you are talking about Evermore- they also used it for Ursulla Blackwell. It was used all during the "Tina at the lighthouse" storyline. I have 10 episodes of that on tape! They also used it in the exploding wedding cake episodes. I love that theme.
  4. Ah the glory days. And watch the classic Y&R sweeping camera work at 3:16- They NEVER do camerawork like that anymore!! No soaps had that smooth as silk cinematic, excellent camerawork.
  5. Good example and excellent quality video of OLTL's sound in 85-86 (and the brightly lit Paul Rauch look!) Very 80's- and Tina's theme starts when she opens Victor's letter. This was Andrea's theme from 85-90- This same music was playing in her last scene at the airport in (I think January) of 1990. Tina's theme did not return when Karen Witter came on (I believe) Paul Rauch left soon after and so did all of the Score productions music. Gottlieb used some of it but it was entirely gone within 3-4 months of her arrival. Y&RWorldTurner I agree comepletely- OLTL's music is generic g
  6. Paul Rauch's favorite was Score Productions- The music on OLTL in the mid to late eighties was the best background music ever. From the many suspenseful themes to the more moving ones- OLTL had my favorite music ever. It is funny to listen to the dramatic difference of the background music on OLTL in 83/84 on Youtube (old fashioned, terrible, hokey) vs. 86/87 after Paul Rauch came on. Night and day. Also, Any score from Y&R pre 1994 or so- the 70's/80's themes especially are in a class by themselves. Movie level orchestra stuff. The best. I am glad it has been brought back (exclusively
  7. OLTL's music in the 80's was OUTSTANDING. Thank you Paul Rauch and Score Productions. Very contemporary and very keyboard synth heavy (80's). It added so much to the show. You can see it all on Youtube. Like everything else on ABC now- OLTL's music is so bland and generic. I do not watch AMC or GH so I have to right to say anything regarding those shows. Best music ever- Y&R's library of amazing, lush, Douglas Sirk style background music. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring the whole catalog back. Such a waste. I hate Y&R's music now.
