LML and Griffith's attempts to make the show look like an ABC soap (as you rightly point you: hideous!) is such a paradox. The ABC soaps, if they had the money, would choose to look like Y&R in a heartbeat...I just don't understand what LML's mandate could have been: regress the show? Make it look like sh*t? Drive away viewers? That hack bitch will NEVER make sense to me.

But, when Heather was out of eyeshot, Adam's face dissolved into a total look of remorse and pain. Did you see that? It was a quick flash! And it immediately rescued the character from irredeemability.

As for your comment

, OMG OMG OMG you have solved it!!!!

I had seen this element, and I wondered why

. But your comment explains it. Of course they'd do

. Jeanne Cooper is finally

They are

I feel it in my bones. You're right! Brilliant speculation!

Now, the other thing I "want" (but can't have) is the reversal of John's death.

Since that can't happen, I'd be satisfied with one of the following two possibilities:

- integrate John's ghost more, as was done a few weeks ago, and have him be the conscience to all the Abbott offspring...and maybe Jill, Gloria, etc. too. Not ALWAYS. Not OFTEN...but sometimes

- figure out a way to bring Alistair down to earth. Bring him to town again and have someone explain WHY he looks so much like John; reveal that he is the brother John disowned. Have Alistair get sober, but not lose the twinkle in his eye. The Abbotts keep him around because he is a tie to John, and he gradually becomes a reasonable, if not so serious, older talk-to

I'd love either of these. But if they could "reverse" that final mistake, I'd be in bliss.

LOVE the Skin Cream Killer finally getting whats coming to her

Why did Adam turn on Victor? Wasnt he treated as Victor's favorite when he came to town.

How was a diary ever used as evidence for murder? That seems like such a weak link and anyone could write anythign and plant it. I cant beleive the DAs are basing their entire case on that

Jill and Ashley look amazing. Loving their hair and they havent looked this good in years

When Victor was presumed dead, Adam took over Newman, fired Neil and Victoria, added Brad to the company and totally started to change the company around. Victor gladly fired Adam when he returned and prevented Adam from getting a job at any other better firm. That's why Adam has been working on getting revenge and framing his father.

Well it was proved that it's Victor's handwriting, even though it was not. I guess that was enough for them.

I loved the line from Ashley to Gloria. Ol' Gloho didn't know where that came from. Serves the bitch right to get blasted from all sides!

ETA: You could see the pisstivity (yeah I did say pisstivity) in Phyllis' eyes when she found out Nick was outside with Sharon. And homegirl looked slightly crazy when she came outside. Glad Phyllis is getting back to her roots without being a psycho.

Michelle Stafford totally brought it (for me) back when she confronted Jack and started yelling "Keep a LEASH on your WIFE! I want her OUT of my MARRIAGE!" It's like Phyllis almost lost it. Since then she's been barely keeping it together, and it really reminds me of Phyllis when she first appeared on Y&R. On one hand, she is teetering on the edge -- but at the same time, her anger and jealousy are relatable and human.
