December 16, 200817 yr Member Is this the Australian Flim Industry Awards, cuz they were held recently (or something about them was done recently) and Heath Ledger won an Award. No, it's the American Film Institute Awards. It only recognizes American films, which is why Slumdog Millionaire was omitted (it's technically a British film). December 26, 200817 yr Member Another vote for Slumdog here! Great, great movie. Also recently viewed Milk and saw Wall*E for the second time today. Holds up really well on repeated viewing.
December 26, 200817 yr Member Revolutionary Road is cutting it pretty close. Won't even be in wide release by the end of the year, but I guess that doesn't really matter. Anyway, saw Benji Button. I really thought Brad Pitt did a good job. I usually take everything he does with a grain of salt just because people are so ga-ga over his looks. But he really did well in that movie, IMO.
