Members ReddFoxx
I think he said whatever he needed to in order to get ahead. His reversal on immigration reform was a big negative for him.
Members Vee
The NY Times has Republicans pondering their options. WaPo writes Rubio's epitaph.
Members Vee
Probably the night that destroyed Marco Rubio forever. I'd never seen this in its entirety - staggering. Chris Christie may have since turned himself into Trump's Salacious Crumb, but he's absolutely right here. Members ThePrinceOfSunspear
Poor Marco but I'm glad he dropped out....my girl Hillary SWEEPS all five states and Marco Rubio suspends his campaign. Talk about a flawless night!
Members Gray Bunny
Good. Forgive me, as I just recently started becoming more interested in politics, but who was that one guy who was running for president maybe 4 years ago, or 8 years ago, and his campaign came to a crashing halt overnight when he gave that goofy overly energetic speech about how "and we're gonna take New Hampshire, and we're gonna take Ohio, and were gonna take South Carolina.... whoo!!!!" or something to that effect. Members marceline
Howard Dean. I never understood what it was about that moment that made people turn their back on him. He went on to become chair of the DNC and I'd give anything to have him back.

Members DRW50
He's a big lobbyist now. A lot of his supporters feel betrayed...likely because they always assumed he was a lot more liberal than he actually was. His campaign had already sort of fizzled before then, probably because so many focused on "electability," and because the media hated him, and because Joe Trippi kind of sucked.
Members quartermainefan
It came off physically and mentally awkward, to use a non-PC word "spazzy" more or less. It sometimes takes just a moment, like Rubio with the water, or Jindal looking like a doof walking down the hallway to give the response, or Dukakis looking like Alfred E Newman in his stupid military helmet. I think moments like that are pretty interesting because everyone sees it at once and the same conclusion gets reached all over.

Members DRW50
More epitaphs for the media darling. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/death-of-a-mannequin-marco-rubios-last-day-20160318?page= https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/what-went-wrong-with-marco-rubio-20160318?page=11 I read a bit about Bernie Sanders' wife going to Joe Arpaio's "tent city" and being surprised when he confronted her, and Bernie being outraged and so on. It's all such cheap theatrics from that campaign. It's more like Kucinich. I was surprised. I guess he's getting desperate.
Members MichaelGL
Anybody remember those town hall meetings that were being held across the country around the time Obama was first elected, and the right was entirely on board with disrupting such events with shouting and yelling? My how times have changed. Edited March 20, 2016 by MichaelGL
