Nothing against Val Demings, but Florida is gone. I am more disappointed about North Carolina, where polling has been closer and Beasley has more of a statewide history.

The decision to spend money in Wisconsin was a mistake. Polls are never believable there (2016 polling for the Senate race was way off) and Biden narrowly winning doesn't translate to others doing the same.

This originally appeared in the NY Times. Anything the NY Times says about Democrats should be discarded.

Yeah, I realize that the NYT is eager to run with the narrative of Black voters “being left cold” by the Democratic Party. They have taken an aspect of the political machine, that of the recurring issue of lack of funding for Black many women candidates and ran with with it to paint a picture of discord in broad strokes.

The GOP has been trying that angle for so many years and Black voters never come to them. Now the Times is using it as their latest attempt at Dems in Disarray, when the GOP remains in disarray (and it's rarely phrased as such).

Lula, with the assistance of Brazil’s voters gave Bolsonaro the heave-ho.

Those margins are looking a little too close though. 95% of the votes have been counted.

Also, there have been reports that voters are complaining of being blocked from voting in areas that lean toward Lula.

It's officially been called now, thank god. It's been mentioned on Twitter but good on leaders like Macron, Biden, Albanese, Trudeau, and the other leftists leaders in Latin America coming right out of the gate congratulating Lula and legitimising the results. Makes it way less likely Bolsonaro will try something or attempt to claim it was rigged against him.
