Biden said last(?) week, on television, that he can't force anyone's hand on the filibuster until infrastructure is complete. When this bill fracas is over it becomes a game Manchin is not wholly prepared for.

Ironically, just this morning, I saw a headline that claimed that Eli Musk was already on his way to becoming the first trillionaire.

If it were just about the money it wouldn't matter as much. Unfortunately the power and influence that comes with that kind of money is pretty worrying. At the same time, Manchin and company show just how little it takes to buy some of these bastards out. Also China showed us via Jack Ma that pretty much no one is untouchable. Happily he's resurfaced alive. I just worry that these billionaire business men are go to buy out any hope of climate change mitigation in pursuit of their greed.

Maybe because it's elections in my neck of the woods, I am tapped out at the moment. My energies have really been directed to the very local and a few international events.
