Not yet, the vote has not come up yet.

The republicans made a motion to adjourn for the day.  They are now in process of voting whether to adjourn or not.

The only GOPer I have any remote respect for is Kinzinger.

Yeah, I don't trust him.  Just as I don't trust any GOP'er who expresses disdain over the party's direction even as they refuse to leave it.  IMO, saying you're outraged by the likes of MTG becoming the face and voice of the GOP isn't enough.  Either you leave the party for good, as former Oklahoma congressman Mickey Edwards did recently, or you're complicit in their rampant (and dangerous) extremism.

The motion to adjourn failed.

They are now starting one hour of debate on Greene.

It was confusing. They voted on a procedural point of how to do this, or some step in the process.  That must be what he saw.

Most people don't know half of how the process in Congress works which is why much of the public expects instant results for everything. The people who care most about committees are farmers who want their representative on the Agriculture Committee.

Facts.

I get that. Kinzinger has been a rep for a while from Il and generally a decent guy.  Obviously he's raising money off of this.  I can't justify it by saying if he left they'd boot him off of committee assignments. That's what happened to Amash when he left the party.  It would actually be the principled thing to do and maybe he still will after he raises enough money lol.

It seems as if many Republicans are willing to bide their time, while they play both sides against the middle, hoping to ascend the chain of command. Some Democrats want to do this too but aren't as naked in their desire to do this. Also, most Democrats tend to tie their image of being a successful politician to the relative well-being of their constituents. Most Republicans seem not to care as much.

Lawsuit season is in full effect, at least where right-wingers are concerned.
