Interesting article. A type of disciplined, under-the-radar organization that is likely to happen again, short of an existential threat the size of Trump and his ilk.

Maybe back when Huckabee was popular...now...not so much. I could tell stories of how people are OVER that name.

But I do think that someone bad will get the position. Sadly.

Amen on Barbara Hershey who is overdue another resurrection after the success of BLACK SWAN and the INSIDIOUS movies.

And mmmmmm BOSTON: RW, the first and best season of RW I saw. Kameelah, Jason, and Cyrus even came to my college campus as part of the RW tour that year. I was in awe of her awesomeness.

For me, the very first season will always be the O.G. cast. The premiere season had a cinema verite feel to it that felt a bit less contrived than subsequent series, but I loved Kameelah, who said she was going to be a doctor and she became a doctor! She doled out straight facts, lol. It makes me wonder how some of her former housemates feel about how they treated her now that BLM has a prominent place in the U.S. and the worldwide socio-political landscape. Some of the things that were said to her, I would feel embarrassed if I were those people.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I went back and watched the other seasons. But you always remember your first time. ;) And all you said was exactly why I loved her. It was nice on my tv to see a driven black person. If she could do it, I could do it.

Looking forward to the newest reunion of the O.G. Cast. But I digress...

She couldn't even manage to make a facial expression that didn't look like someone had just belched the contents of a rotting refrigerator right in front of her.

That's a good one.

Rob Portman is another of those Republicans feted by the media as "reasonable" but who still votes party line every time.

In comparison, here we have another of the "golly gee" Democrats who are happy to sink the party to cover themselves. Never mind that if the country is that right wing, then she will lose her seat no matter how much she or Manchin are against getting through a progressive agenda.

Mitch McConnell has finally changed his twitter handle.

He kept it as @senatemajldr for a few days --
even after Wednesday when he officially lost the majority -

when Kamala was sworn in as VP, and Warnock, Ossoff and Padilla were sworn in as senators.

He has now gone back to using @LeaderMcConnell - which I guess he already had as a handle.

The twitter handle @senatemajldr is currently displaying as "This account doesn’t exist".

Edit to add:
He's changed his instagram

from senatemajldr to leadermcconnell

---

Schumer is still using SenSchumer as his twitter handle but his twitter bio says he's the Senate Majority Leader.

McConnell may as well keep it.

The more time passes the more I believe those who say many Democrats in the Senate were bewildered at winning the majority and were content to just be in the minority. Well, if that is the case, then the way things are going, they can be happy again in two years.
