An example of how the media has already declared victory for Trump.

I will just be glad when this is over and the shambles of a primary can be over and the focus can go back on rooting Trump out.

I mean, "pizzazz" is trending bc NBC got roasted for that article by the whole of Twitter.

There are always lazy takes, but by and large the public and a fair amount of media takeaway for yesterday was that it was devastating for Trump.

As far as I'm concerned, you don't need "pizzazz."  You just need to speak truth to power.

The public has been intelligent enough to process this even before the public hearings, so perceptions are baked in for the most part.

I wonder what's behind this decision assuming this is true. Has he been told that he's too unpopular or is it the fact that the Secretary of State is a Democrat so he knows he can't scam the recount?

The lead republican in the state legislature would not back his effort and "suggested" unless he could produce evidence of problematic voting, he should drop it. Bevin is not popular with republican legislators in KY either.

Welp!  Only in the race a day and already people are finding and posting some very troubling judgement calls made by former Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick.

This thread is a harrowing but informative read. Seems like the association to Bain Capital may be the least of Patrick's problems.

The media wants impeachment for the ratings, but in the end they don't want Trump impeached so they'll continue these types of story and commentary. Notice how common it is to mention that aid WAS released, but they skirt over the fact that it was released after the whistleblower complaint became public. If you rob a bank and return the money when the police find out you did it, it doesn't mean you get off the hook. Somehow the media is allowing that to be a narrative. My hope with impeachment is that it helps turn public opinion enough to help Democrats in 2020, but even then they'll have to deal with the media "both sides-ing" the election and working to help keep Trump in office.

^ Ugh. That is pretty bad.  We need fewer candidates not more anyhow.

And I was wondering when Bloomberg's known history of making sexist and sexually derogatory remarks would start to be discussed again and that day has arrived apparently.  Those remarks didn't seem to hinder his mayoral campaigns, so it is little wonder that he thinks it's no big deal if they re-emerge during a presidential candidacy.

Honestly, I don't know what thread to put this madness.
