Some televangelist named Gloria Copeland, who apparently is Trump's 'faith adviser' claims that the flu is all in our heads.

Despite the high hospitalization rate and death rate from the flu.

Flu season is all in our heads, Texas televangelist says: 'Inoculate yourself with the word of God'

Consequently, there is no current head of the CDC as Trump's pick withdrew her nomination after it was revealed that she had heavy investments in big tobacco.

Despite the high number of hospitalizations and deaths (particularly children) Twit-in-Chief has yet to mention this.  Even sadder still no one in the media seems to ask him or his pathetic WH spokesperson about this.

Wow. This is nuts.  The endless attacks on science from this administration are really disturbing. I guess the GOP know that the only way they will continue to have voters is to dumb down the population. Unfortunately, it's working.

Here's more idiocy from the GOP.

National Health Alert:
U.S. Rep Lamar Smith (R-Texas), chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space, & Technology, has slated a full committee hearing for today with an agenda aimed squarely at attacking some of the world's top cancer scientists. Smith thinks the United States should not contribute funding to the International Agency for Research on Cancer’s (IARC). The IARC is part of the World Health Organization. Smith disagrees with the IARC’s scientific conclusion about glyphosate. IARC found that you glyphosate, an extremely common herbicide is “probably carcinogenic to humans.”

Her husband's ads used to run all the time.

Apparently they also helped lead to a measles outbreak 10-15 years ago.

Money to the CDC is also running out. I have a feeling Trump's people probably just see money going to countries with people who aren't white and they lash out.

He's retiring, at least, although he's far from alone.

Trump to Pentagon: "ME WANT PARADE!!"

Now, maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to ME that our nation's service men and women neither demand nor expect parades for the work they volunteer to do on all our behalf.  All they really ask for, IMO, is our thanks.

But, whatevs.  Democracy is dead!  Viva Trump!

I thought it was a joke too.  It's absolutely unbelievable and all to feed trump's ego, I'm sure.  Why isn't anyone saying no to this?  I've said this so many times over the last year, but everyday is a new pathetic surprise from Cadet Bone Spurs.

Why not spend the money to pay military better wages and help the homeless vets get permanent housing!!

Maybe France could do a parade because they have socialized healthcare for everyone over there!

Also, you don't hear/read anything about them having a population of homeless armed forces veterans.

no words to add. right on.

the only thing I can think of now is that the Pentagon will drag this out so long he'll either be out of office or he'll forget about it, because like a child he can't keep his mind on any one thing for more than a day.

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
    • Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!

    • Bill and Hayley’s living room set should be redressed as their bedroom. We’ve not seen their gorgeous circular entry way set since the first week? Why not utilise that more and build them a living room off those double doors? The hotel room also doesn’t have a bed? Does only Dani have a bedroom?

    • @Paul Raven thank you for the synopsis! I enjoy reading these before dozing off for the night. That aside, this Charles character sounds like a horror, just reading about him. I can only imagine how he was watching in real time. But it is intriguing to, as I wish there were more clips of LOL out there besides the one episode from this era that I've seen, which is the one of Cal getting in the car wreck.
    • Dear God in Heaven (/KatherineChancellor), maybe blazer is the wrong word - I’m just saying André needs to wear baggy clothes or larger sizes cause he’s a short king and the sizes they’ve chosen for him make him look smaller and shorter than necessary

btw he’s not even that young, must be around Martin’s age…
