God, I knew someone connected with upper law enforcement would be targeted somehow.  I was thinking of a former FBI official but I guess this is of the same intention. 

All those documentaries I used to watch describing the chaos and political upheaval of years like 1968--this feels a little bit like what I imagined those years of turbulence and chaos felt like, on a more modest, slightly less violent level.

The media needs to stop this f'in both sides narrative.  I realize Steve Scalise was seriously shot and that was abhorrent but it's the president that is fueling this - NO ONE ELSE. Will they ever get off their lazy asses and talking points and call this out. Our press and media is failing this country miserably.

They have been saying that - just not enough, and not without the recurring false equivalence. Today at least, that hasn't happened (yet).

New - additional target: Suspicious package at Wasserman-Schultz office was addressed to Eric Holder. The package was sent to Holder but had the wrong address and was returned to Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s office in Florida because that was the return label on the package.

NY Governor Andrew Cuomo just announced during a live-streamed/televised PC that a device was sent to his Manhattan office and is being handled.

This isn't going to stop until someone gets killed.

This is so crazy, but not surprising.  I blame both 45 and the right wing media for this.  They have been sowing the seeds of hate and paranoia against the Obamas, Clintons and Soros for years, along with the "liberal" media.  Some nut finally got it in his head to try to take them all out at once.

Or some poor schmuck working in the mailroom at a media outlet. Those people are on the front line.

And sadly, a good portion of those mailroom people tend to be long-term temporary workers who don't even get the full and proper benefits of a permanent employee.

Who misspells Florida on the return address of a package??  Although frankly, I have an idea of the type of person who would do that.
