I'm sure he has skeletons in his closet, too.  Nevertheless, right now, I just love this man.

Agree.

People like the ones you've mentioned always forget that Obama deported far more "illegals" when he was in charge.  Yet, they insist that everyone merely looked the other way around before Trump took office.

Yup.  The entire nation is falling apart before our very eyes...but they still believe their consciences are clear.

At this point, all I care about is trying to stop the tragedy unfolding on our border.  Anyone helping with that is fine by me unless they've raped or murdered.

That said,  I wish the leadership would get their heads out of the sand and support these women.

And they're not GOING to hear from party leadership, for obvious reasons.

But, Black women should be used to saving the rest of our asses and getting no love for it by now.

No surprise that under Trump, the DOJ has moved to put more people in jail, and one of the consequences of this + the GOP's 'smaller government' ethos-- "the shortage of correctional officers has grown chronic under President Trump".

You now have teachers and clerks serving as substitute guards at maximum security prisons, to a swelling prison population.

Nice work, America.

"Despicable" doesn't begin to describe these latest atrocities coming from the (tiny) hands of our current administration.  Separating children from their parents?  Relocating them to "tent cities"?  What's next?  Starving them?  Shaving off all their body hair?  Tattooing numbers on all their arms?

If only Donald Trump had a bunker to crawl into....

    • The first one is Cass Winthrop dressed as Krystle Lake on Another World (not from his original creation of the character to hide from the loan shark Tony the Tuna, but at a romance convention trying to find out what had happened to Felicia who was missing). The second one is also Another World, Jake McKinnon as Doris although I don't recall what his purpose was.
    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.

I'm sorry but I'm a glutton for punishment. Would love to see this woman OWNING the canvas. Telling off Leslie who tells her she's the head b!tch.
