I have a lot of hope thanks to the people, but this behavior from the executive branch is outrageous and is escalating very quickly. We're approaching a point where I don't know what happens.

The Times covers the internal chaos over the order.

Today on Morning Joe: Joe and Mika spent the weekend at the White House trying to make sense of this "rash order" and have come out with clear marching orders - throw white supremacist Stephen Miller to the wolves and ignore Trump or Bannon's culpability, claim his youthful zealotry 'took it too far' and it's 'all a misunderstanding.'

It's all one long, demented episode of The Apprentice with Team Trump, and Miller is/was part of the inner-inner circle with Brannon - one of the others will be next.

Honestly some people saying they rather have John McCain then Donald Trump. They at least see him as a respectable republican.

Personally I have no time for people who talk about how much they regret voting for Trump. This was an obvious choice - the most obvious choice America has had in possibly well over a century. Anyone out there who cared about civil rights, basic fairness, etc. knew the choice. I feel like some people want a medal when they say they voted the wrong way. Too little too late.

Meanwhile someone I know who voted for him is a Faux News junkie tells me whenever we talk that Trump is going to build up the military so it's a good thing he won. This is a very elderly person so I just bite my tongue, because even if they do come to regret it, it's going to likely be for reasons of personal pain, and unlike some of those in Trumpworld, I don't get that much pleasure out of other people's pain.

The people who I've seen or read about having regrets over voting for Trump all point to the poor choice of candidates.  I think the majority of those who now regret it or eventually will are probably those who were never enthusiastic about him in the first place.  His main core of supporters will probably never regret it--no matter how adversely it may impact some of them.  They may always find the fact that they want to believe he stands for them and their values worth their delusions.  They don't ever need to "see the light."  What is important is that they never succeed in dragging everyone else back to their version of how things should be.

People have sat back for years and let certain individuals define what an American is with little or no challenge.  Now their hatred has forced something that they never foresaw and hopefully it will lead to them being shut down.

At the end of all of this, we will see how triumphant all those Trump supporters running around basking in his victory will feel when all they have to say is that he won.  They will eventually realize that what they thought was their movement to "take back America" became their last desperate hold because it's never going back to whatever it was and they cannot bully everyone else into submission.

It could, but I tend to wonder how many who need to tweet about it are people who live in liberal enclaves. Like the person who said how scared they were and then she turned out to be another Susan Sarandon-type voter. I do think that many who are in swing states are also regretting their vote, and are just less vocal about it. I guess we'll see, if we're still here in 4 years, how many will be willing to remember this if they have a "safer" choice like Mike Pence or media darling Marco.

    • She did have a thing with him in the late '90s, before she inexplicably disappeared with no mention as to why, although I can't remember if they had sex.
    • I don't believe she did. She did sleep with Simon, believing he was a Spaulding.
    • -- If I ever get sick, please don't send me to Garland Memorial. That hospital is a YIKES. -- Soooo much activity around the main nurses' desk. Do they move dead people on a gurney past that desk, too? -- 8 months for Bill to recover from a "small stroke"? Uh....I don't think so. Is anyone researching this stuff? The hospital stuff is not coming off as realistic. -- It's good that Derek and Ashley are being integrated into other stories, but it's a real stretch to say Leslie was "stalking" Ashley. It makes Derek seem dumber than we already think he is. -- Ashley spends a lot of time having small talk while she's at work. -- Chelsea is embarrassing. Period. -- Tomas is supposed to pick up the slack for Bill, but he has time to have worthless conversations with Leslie? OK then. -- Kat is destroying the case against Leslie, but that's clearly the way to keep Leslie on the canvas.
    • 6-3   I almost let my system just delete the episode just like with B&B. I am now questioning if I should have. lol.   I just can't believe that Cole sat there and started to get sick and then only Victoria off and ran off and everyone basically went back to what they were doing at Nikki's birthday party. Cole was too much of a vet character for that. And now story back off-screen.   I did chuckle at how much Victor pay Kyle dust. And now Kyle with this deal and a promise to leave town if he hurts Claire. smh. As if Victor isn't going to make that happen.   It was lovely to see Ashley. And actually (misdressed and all) Abby.    And I liked Claire's dress.
    • Oh. That. I pretend that never happened.

I did think of another possibility. Did India ever sleep with Alan? They kind of toyed with pairing them up, but I'm not sure they ever became lovers.
    • While I do love the chaotic energy that is Kat vs Lesile, it is a bit extra. Sheltered, virginal Kat who plays it safe from her man to her wardrobe understands that Leslie is dangerous, but she's out here showing up everywhere and anywhere that Lesile is to be found and actively going to places where she is alone? I mean Kat doesn't even act a little afraid or intimidated by Leslie. Meanwhile, big Ole Derek out here begging for his and Ashley's life to Jacob.  As for Dani, I didn't see it that way. Dani and Bill were together for 30 years and shared a family. I believe there was real love there at one point. Bill is still an ass and Dani is still crazy, but realizing she may lose him and her daughter's may lose their dad definitely struck a chord.
    • Funny I randomly saw Kami’s lengthy post about the 44th anniversary of the Walton’s finale last week pop up in my news feed on Facebook. A few inaccuracies to her post but overall it was pretty insightful and interesting to read.
    • Well, depending on rewrites...Jennifer Richards potentially slept with Brandon and Alan. It does feel like we're forgetting someone, but then again, maybe I'm confusing that with brothers, which would include a lot more.
    • Maybe it’s me, and the fact that RC isn’t at the helm, but since Cwikly and Ford have taken over I’ve noticed the show doing a lot of things differently directing wise, and since the storyline of John’s demise began, the show has been using different scores, and dare I say better ones than this time last year. It’s interesting and I wonder if the any of it is Noel Maxam’s influence before being promoted.
    • I think Nicole is about to figure out what's going on between Andre and Dani.
