Administrator Toups Posted August 15, 2008 Author Administrator Share Posted August 15, 2008 Trickett winning would've been great - from not being in the finals to winning gold would've been a nice story. Too bad she didn't close well.
Members SnCCorinthos4ever
Yes it would have been. I thought that she was far enough in front. I remember watching the 1500 in 1996 when Perkin's only just made the final and was swimming in lane 8. I was in a Department store and and there were so many people round all the TV's that they had on cheering him on. I do love it when an underdog win's. Members SnCCorinthos4ever
I thought he was going to lose as well but it would havde been his hand to hand span. They mentioned the other day that he stands at 6 foot 3 inches but his hand to hand span is 6 foot 5 inches.
Administrator Toups Posted August 16, 2008 Author Administrator Share Posted August 16, 2008 I love the super-slow-mo. Cavic is already reaching for the wall, while Phelps was still bringing his arms to the wall, but SOMEHOW Phelps touched the wall first. Yup. He also has the legs of a 6'0 man and a wing span of a 6'8 man.
