And Jennifer Bransford rocked that ish, she was perfect playing crazy Carly and is highly underrated. I still get bewildered over the LW love, her version on Carly has destroyed the character beyond return, she should be on this list instead.

Also, a question: I never saw Lesli Kay during her ill-fated run as a recast Lois on GH. What was the verdict on her?

She was no Reena, but good enough IMO. For the most part she had good chemistry with her costars and nailed the accent. But there was always something off with her portrayal IMO. Like she was missing something and I've never been able to figure out what it was.

Worth noting that Rattray came in the latter half of the Marland era. Probably one of the few mishaps that really happened on the show at the time.

Shari Shattuck... she was AWFUL. The character of Ashley was really ruined when she played it, it was disgusting and repulsive to watch.

Emily Harrison and Charity Rahmer gave you the impression even before their first scenes that they weren't going to last long.

There is NO better Lily Winters than Christel Khalil. She has played the role since 2002 (save for the year she was off the show) and she rocks every scene/storyline she has. She was great in the STD storyline, she was great in the paternity storyline, she was great in the Daniel/Lily fugitive storyline and she has been great in the Lane storyline. She has had two Emmy nominations. She IS Lily Winters.

Y&R will never let Christel go - especially when Lane is so popular. And especially after the backlash they got when they fired Adrianne Leon at the height of Cadrian's popularity.

Heres another choice. How about Marie-Alise Recasner as Ellen Burgess on Port Charles. She was the show's worst recast and such a letdown after Debbie Morgan's portrayal of the role.

Oh he most definetly was. Of all the actors to play JR, he was by far the worse. He was such a downgrade from Jesse McCartney and Jonathan Bennet who came before him. My main problem with AR was that he was so unappealing. He lacked any charm or personality. He was just so "ewwww". It was nauseating watching him onscreen and it didnt help that he was paired with that bland Laurie who didnt help matters. That whole teen set sucked. The only one I cared for was Micah Alberti as Jamie

I thought CC was a huge Marty miscast when I first heard the news and in many ways still feel she was miscast even though I loved her Marty. IA about her being Tea. I scratched my head wondering WTH OLTL was doing by giving her the Marty role instead of Tea, which would ahve been better suited for her

Why did Bennet leave anyway? I Dunno, he still didn' bug me as much as he did most.

Christina Chambers is a decent actress, but she just didn't seem to fit in the role of Marty from the clips I've seen, so I agree with that one.

Mark Cameron Wystrach was good as Fox, I thought his portrayal of the role was very entertaining.

Krista Tesreau (SP?) was the ONLY Mindy Lewis and she was so fabulous. It's so funny to me that so many didn't like her as Tina on OLTL. She was my favorite.

Ann Hamilton's problem wasn't Krista...it was the sexy, fiery Kimberly Simms, whose chemistry with Vincent Irrizarry and the divine Beverlee McKinsey was THE REASON to watch GL during that period!

I loved Krista as Mindy Lewis too. But on OLTL, she just wasn't Tina. I think the problem with KT as Tina is that she had 2 VERY GOOD predecessors in Andrea Evans and Karen Witter. KT just didn't measure up. Plus Tina's dingbat ratings went thru the roof when KT was cast and Tina just got annoying.

Quick question <hides from Toups cuz it's off topic> Tina and Todd are full brother and sister, right? Both are the progeny of Victor Lord and Irene Manning if I am not mistaken.

y&r fan, you make me laugh you really do, because you are the defender of CK and TS, I know something that you don't know and I'm not going to tell you and it has to do with CK so let's see what happen if CK going to stay that long

I keep seeing the same thing..."Not as good as their predecessor!" How can you blame a recast for doing their job? What about the predecessor who left or TBTB who let them go?
