Can anyone tell me anything about Jeff the intern in 1980? He was a roommate to Darcy Collins, Brad Huntington, and Alan Ross. He had problems with a doctor that supervised him. He is in synopses and then he's not. Does anyone know the character's full name or the actor that played him? How long was he around?

In September 82, I read Nola had a baby girl by Tor[?]. Does anyone know anything about Tor? I know KZ's real life husband AC Weary played him. Did he have a last name? What was their daughter's name?

Thanx for any info..............

If Jeff is who I think he is, he was a member of the internship program with Darcy, Brad, and Alan as you mentioned. Jeff struggled with learning what he had to. I believe it was Dr. Matt Powers who was rather hard on him, which caused friction with him and Dr. Jack Garner. I think Jack may have been involved with Greta, Matt's daughter, at this point which caused more friction. Jeff dropped out of the program and Jack blamed Matt. I don't think Jeff was around very long maybe January/February 1980 until May/June 1980. This is all from memory of reading those old synopses.

I had trouble finding information about "The Doctors" in 1982. Because stations dropped the show, newspapers tended to cut the show from the papers. Carl posted some 1982 summaries I believe that might have more about Nola, Thor, and the baby. I thought Thor was a drifter or something. I really don't know. When did Nola leave the show?

I thought Zimmer left and then returned a few months later to wrap up Nola's story. Zimmer's daughter was born in June 1982 (according to stuff I've seen online) and Nola departed around September. Didn't Nola literally sail off into the sunset with Tor?

    • Am I the only one who immediately thinks of this every time someone mentions Smitty?

    • BITD I was posting about how interesting it was that Denise had been with this same guy for simply years but they just did not marry - then that year they married!
    • Random takes from this week: - Bill’s been played way too soft by the actor. I just can’t buy him doing anything truly sinister. I wish he had more of that old-school Victor Newman edge. - On characterization: I’m fine with Leslie being shown as a narcissistic and cruel mother—as long as she doesn’t tip into full cartoon villain territory. Dani’s involvement in Nicole’s storyline feels natural to me, and I really like that Martín is such a hothead, which totally clashes with his polished political career. No wonder no one wants to confide in him. Also, I don’t mind Haley’s characterization at all. - I’m still annoyed they dropped the whole lawsuit storyline. That’s why I’m a bit hesitant about getting too invested in the June plot. Also: I can do without another instant-sibling storyline. - Ashley and Derek? Totally fine with them in small doses. That’s the best way to handle those two. - Thank God Ted is getting recast. I honestly couldn’t handle that constant swaying much longer. - Speaking of Ted: maybe I’m in the minority here, but that hotel set is hideous. The oversized boiserie makes everything look flat, and that artwork on the wall? Bland, ugly, and lifeless. - I’m 50/50 on the product placement. On one hand, it’s totally misplaced and campy—especially when it shows up in the middle of emotional scenes. It just feels wrong. But on the other hand… here we are talking about Febreze and Tide. So maybe it is working? I honestly don’t know. - I don’t have any issues with the fashion on the show overall, but André’s wardrobe is just off. Not in terms of style, but size. His tops are way too tight and actually make him look even shorter than he is. Same goes for Smitty. Both of them would seriously benefit from some larger blazers or chunkier sweaters.
