Was there any mention in Loving's later years of Gwyn being Heather's grandmother? When Gwyn interacts with Stacey before the murders the focus seems to be on Stacey being Trisha's best friend.

Do you think if Noelle Beck had stayed the show would have done a Stacey/Trucker/Trisha triangle?

I can see why they would want to keep Amelia Heinle around, but, as you said, without Cooper, there really isn't much to do. I don't have any use really for what I've seen of Steffi in the final month

Do you have a link to the most recent Italian eps? From what I can tell, the instigation for Lily's story was Agnes Nixon's idea (absolutely as it's clearly spelled out in the "Love" bible that Nixon

I just knew you'd get a kick out of it. Elizabeth sings in the upload before that, too. In retrospect, this was setting the stage for the fabled musical Christmas episode that @Kane, myself, and others have been hoping will turn up.

I've been crossing my fingers that the musical episode will turn up on that channel eventually.

In late 1993, when the show is toying with a Clay/Gwyneth/Buck/Stacey quad, there's an episode where Stacey hosts a birthday party for Heather that Clay and Gwyneth both attend - and Clay spends most of it openly wondering to Gwyn why they even have to be there. In general Gwyn and Clay are pretty hands off grandparents, even with Christopher, who you'd think they'd be obsessed with given how obsessed they were with Trisha.

They sort of did do a Stacey/Trucker/Trisha triangle in 1992, with Stacey confessing to Trisha that she had fallen in love with Trucker and Trucker briefly having amnesia and thinking that he and Stacey were together.

That's what I was thinking of - if they may have curtailed that story because of Noelle handing in her notice.

Thanks for answering me about Heather. I can buy Clay not caring, but I think Gwyn by that point in her life would have cared - a little too much.

I wonder if new viewers just thought they were both Jack's kids. Sadly, any layers they could have mined never happened due to the show ending.

I have a similar problem with Alex's kids. I keep wanting Alexis to be his and Ava's daughter, not his and Egypt's.

The lack of any mention of Egypt will do that. I think that all could have been mined on The City but I've gone on about that enough probably.

Yes, and it really should have.

What I'm most intrigued with is the fact that the town in the show bible was originally called Carthage and then later changed to Corinth. The choice of both of those names isn't lost on me considering the history and significance of both of those cities.

I loved this entire post! I have wondered WHY change from Carthage to Corinth because in my mind both names/classical cities represented very similar things. Did ABC or Marland tell Nixon he never liked the "sound" of Carthage so she went with Corinth as an alternative that represented something very similar? One day I'll write a dissertation of the meaning of the city names in Nixon's soap operas P

I haven't re-watched the murders in years--this reminded me, did Rose even show up when Stacey was killed?
