*Crosses fingers so as to not jinx anything*

Last week, I said that I thought if GL aired in all the major markets, it could give GH a run for its money... but my little show surprised me.... it's giving GH a run despite that!!

Lately, I couldn't wait to get home and see GL... time will tell if that stays the same.. won't change my viewing habits.. cause I'll watch the show til one of us passes on... but the more viewers GL can attract back, the better for the little show that could!!

And a lot more people just aren't watching anymore.

Actually, a lot more people simply aren't watching since this time last year. And since then they had to wade through eight months of Dena's stories: Ski lodge follies, the worst high school musical I've ever seen, Miles and Marty, OPP (yeah you know me!), Jessica [!@#$%^&*] a guy in a rock quarry, Dorian and Clint, Viki's weekly humiliation, liver liver who's got the liver, exploding operating rooms, Paige, Spencer, and of course John. So I wouldn't put quite all of it on Ron's four months.

I only hope you can find enough flowers to fill all the crystal vases! I don't need you to "help" me, elaborate for my "benefit" or discuss my varying "mileage."

Would that I owned any crystal. And "your mileage may vary" is a common expression. It's not about you.

I'm desperately hoping ME leaves this sinking ship.

I won't be shocked if AMC's ratings for next week drop, after like a solid month of weekly promotions of nothing but Jesse & Angie, AMC decides to promote the pole dancing crap, actually there's two promos one called "Cameron Mathison bares all" and other is about of course Ryan and the pole dancing crap.

Way to go AMC, keep driving away those viewers in droves

One more note of interest,

The View is daytime's 5th most watched program, behind only Y&R, The Price is Right 1 & 2 and B&B. The closest to its 3.8 million total viewer average? ATWT with 3.2 million viewers. In full daytime, GH is ranked 8th, while AMC and OLTL ranked 10th and 11th out of 11 programs.

Why people still have jobs? I'm not sure. But things will change soon enough, otherwise ABC Daytime will become NBC Daytime as a we approach another decade.

That truly is embarassing, that the View is doing better than ALL the ABC Soaps combined. Errol, I hope you're right and changes are coming, but I won't hold my breath, for some reason ABC likes to promote failure(ie. Frons)

I hope GH continues to fall. This show needs new writers badly. This TMK story is beyond stupid. They killed off characters the viewers loved for no good reason. The baby Jake story is worse then the baby Michael story ever could have been. Jason found out he was going to be a father a year ago and he still isn't a year later? The truth about Jake should have come out on the stand back in August and the fall out play out for month before the ball. Instead we have a boring story that is being dragged out months and months. The drama has been completely removed from this story. Lucky finding out was lackluster because it lasted way to long and then it ended up meaning nothing with them all going back to the same old same old lie. Carly finding out gave us a few good scene between Liz and Carly but has been dropped. Carly would never let Liz get away with keeping Jake from Jason and Carly wouldn't care what Jason wanted. She would make a disaster out of this mess and made it so much more entertaining. Instead we have Carly as this meek mouse who isn't doing anything. She would rip Liz's hair out strand by strand before she let Liz get away with keeping Jason from his son. No one looks good in this story and it has last so long it's beyond boring.

Sam- It was believable Sam would do what she did but she would get her revenge and move on. She wouldn't be wallowing in self-pity. Sam doesn't owe Liz or Jason anything. No one is beholden to lie for them.

Lucky-was the biggest loser. People were guessing Jake was Jason but he couldn't buy a clue and he's a cop? LOL! Now he is lying about Jake to get back at Jason. He gets to keep Jason from his son. This from the man who knows what it feels like to be betrayed and lie to? Is now lying about Jake? Setting Jake up to be devastated by the lies he now helps tell. That is the most insane thing. With the amount of people who know the truth how can anyone believe it can stay secret from the few left who don’t know?

Liz- She used to her innocent baby to keep a grown man sober? Remarried a man she didn't love and created a family based on lies and a marriage based not only on lies but she couldn't have been over Lucky's cheating with Maxie not to mention if danger was a concern to her as it is now. How could she remarry a barely out of rehab addict and put him with two kids? As for danger Lucky isn't safer. The show may want to gloss over the fact. Helena hates everything Spencer and making Jake a fake Spencer puts him in danger from Helena’s wrath. Now to mention cops have enemies. Truth is what would stop the Zaccara from telling Lucky they will harm his family if he doesn’t back off an investigation of them or Johnny? Lucky isn’t safer for Jake he never was. Liz feels guilty about maybe running down Sam but not by keeping Jason from his son or lying to her son every day of his life. How can Liz not think of the emotional damage she will do to Jake when he learns the truth and he will because to many people know the truth. I remember Liz once said she wish she would have been shot or stab then raped because at least the physical wounds would heal. So Liz thinks setting the child she claim to love up with emotional scars he may never get over are better then telling the truth? Liz isn’t doing what is best for Jake but what is best for her because when it comes to her kids Liz doesn’t like to share. She did it to Zander she doing it to Jason. Liz already has one child who will never know his father how could she ever think it right to do that to her second child? She knew who Jason was. She has no excuses to be playing you are to dangerous card.

Jason- Jason has always been a champion of the mothers but there comes a time when you need to man up and it’s time for Jason to man up and do what is best for Jake and that is to tell the truth. You give up the job before you ever give up your child. You don’t set your child up to be devastated that is whole life is a lie because he has been lied to sense birth.

It was a horrible story told from the beginning and has only gotten worse the longer they drag it out. If Jason and Liz don't want anyone else to tell the truth about Jake, I suggest they both grow up and tell it themselves. The truth is if safety of children were the barometer used to allow you to be a parent to your child. No one in PC would have children. I believe Jason loves Liz look what he has done for her. It’s Liz I have no faith in. How can she claim to love Jason but hurt him by keeping his son from him? GH that isn’t romance it’s just crap. Jason has put it all on line for Liz needs to do the same and stop hiding in the shadows and lying.

GH needs new writers who can tell a story and not drag a bad story out. A story with a beginning a middle and an end and in the end you get why you took the journey and we need real romance and love not Guza sick version of love.

A year ago GH had couples together that I was able to watch, and today all my favorites are nothing more than FF material.

You are right Carly would not have stood by and let Lizzie have her way.

A year ago I was getting a pal in the USA to tape GH for me and send me the tape. But since the last few months I have asked her to stop as it is not worth both of us wasting time and money on a soap that is steady going down hil fast.

I'm really disapointed in Days ratings for last week, especially the dallies for thursday and friday...The plane stuff was spectacular, and some of the best stuff we've seen on the show in years..Yet those 2 days are the lowest rated for the week..And the week before with less action has a huge bump..I don't get it...

It's so pitiful how Frons' lets his mancrushes drive his decision making. If I were Cameron Mathison or Michael Easton I'd be terribly afraid of being alone in the man's office for fear he'd chase me around the desk like in some 1950's movie.

I don't expect much of a drop. I don't think most of Nuke's fans are daily watchers. Youtube might find itself affected.

Now I see the problem! You seem to be operating under the impression that I'm submitting my opinion for some kind of approval or validation. Let me be clearer. You asked me what makes RC's writing out of date other than the fact that I'd rather see someone else writing. I turned the question back on you to make a point. My opinion is no more valid than yours. And yours is no more valid than mine.

I don't like Ron's writing. I find it boring, trite and irrelevant. I think he's been skating by on the fact that Higley was a nightmare. And no matter how many publicist-planted stories show up in the mags touting him as the messiah of daytime, my opinion won't change. You seem to have taken an unusual level of offense at my disdain for the show. I know a lot of people hated it last year (and BTW I have no idea who a "certain someone" is. I'm guessing John? I agree with your post -- entirely -- and must say you are a brave person. You know you are supposed to accept that OLTL is the only ray of sunshine in the dark forest of daytime. The fact you don't enjoy it is a shortcoming on your part. I don't like OLTL and think it is just deadly dull. Others like it, that is their right. But I don't like it and think it's boring. What really irks me is the comments that, well people don't like it because it doesn't show John McBain as much. That's a great way to imply that something unpopular with a majority of posters on this board is the reason for disagreement on what is popular with this board, but otherwise it really has not meaning. Perhaps people dislike OLTL right now for the reason they say, they think it's boring. I think that is why the ratings are very much down for OLTL. It's dull and for people like me, the shows on the other channels are better right now. It is also amazing to me that when GH"s ratings decline, that is welll-deserved and an accurate reflection of the show. The same is true of AMC. Yet, for some reason those same ratings don't capture the true sentiment of OLTL. Interesting.

GH really needs to ditch Guza he has destroyed the show. I don't know about anybody else but I'm tired of there favorism on certain characters Jason, Sonny, Carly. They never seem to pay for there actions. Fans don't want to see the mob.They want to see romance. Nobodys happy on this show other than carjax and Carly treats Jax terrible he deserves better.I could care less about the Zacarrahs.THe quad with Liz/Lucky/Sam/Jason has went on long enough.I think Liason has possablties as do lusam. Scrubs suppesodly have a big story but the pregnancy needs to be more than about Patricks issues with fatherhood and commitment. It should be about Robins Hiv that the show hasn't mentioned at all.Jlex keeps getting stalled. Theres so much death and depression on the show. Michael buying a gun should have be signs of Sonny and Jason realize how selfish there being and get out of the mob.Stop killing off vetrans.
