Nikki is definitely going to feel some serious Karma kicking her ass after all of this... The terrible thing about it is that Victoria is going to suffer the most this week because of all this mess..While I can't stand the girl, she doesn't deserve being done like that.

Who all thinks that some family members will turn on Nikki and toss their vote Jack's way? I get that feeling...

Ok I know I am in the few but it always seems what I like the board does not. Ok here goes I dont like what she is doing to Phyllis but I am sure Phyllis will get her revenget but it is truely interesting to see this side of Niki and I am enjoying it. I want to see how bitchy and dirty she can get and did Victor teach her to get the upper hand. This is something Mel seems to be enjoying and sinking her teeth in.

CK's Lily cant even be mad at someone and have it stick. I was looking forward to Lily carrying on her mom's hate for Phyllis and the foundation is there with the way Dru went out. I was glad she was mad at Phyllis and refused to go to the wedidng and support her on her day but was so disappoinetd when she showed up and was nice to her as if nothing was wrong. Why did she go? She didnt even give Phyllis any dirty looks or attitude. CK could have played those scenes differently and let it visually be known that she still hates Phyllis' guts

It's all for the best that Lily forgives Phyllis. I'm sorry, but I rivalry between Phyllis and Lily would be laughable. CK just does not have the acting skills to go toe to toe with Michelle. Might be good for a giggle, but why embarrass the girl. SHe needs to stay in the coffee house and listen to Colleen's problems.

I really like this side of Nikki too. I like seeing her be ruthless. I'd kind of like to see her win and kick the black knight to the curb.

People willsee how big of a joke CK Lily is if she goes up against Phylis. Phylis will tell her your not your mother daughter. Your not even Olivia niece. You better get out my face before I tell Daniel to test out my cheating side of his genes.

I don't see how Nikki is being destroyed. She's been on the back burner playing Victor's stepford wife for ages. Now she finally is coming into her own. Sure she's acting like a ruthless b!tch, but that's way more fun and interesting that anything she's done in the last two years. At least that's how I see it. I'm actually starting to respect Nikki. I'm rooting for her to win the senate seat and divorce Victor for good (yeah, I know she won't, but I can hope).

Not really sure how any of this is propping Phyllis either. First the character is hugely popular and doesn't need to be propped. Second, Phyllis is guilty no matter how the arrest came about she did what she did. If Latham wanted to prop her she'd be the innocent victim.

I have a totally different outlook on that. I think NEITHER Jack or Nikki will have the Senate seat... That's just my thought...For some reason all the dirt slinging and backstabbing is going to reach both of them at a breaking point...Even if they write her getting the senate seat, that goofy LML will mess it up and write somewhere where she loses it all in one breath.... I don't like David with Nikki...In fact, I just don't like David too much period...Who I'm waiting on is Billy Warlock's arrival

I agree with you....Nikki has taken a backseat for the longest time while Victor did dirty dealings and schemes....It's a new thing to see Nikki applying all those years of watching Victor's tactics and using them to her advantage to get what she wants for a change...This is by no means propping up Phyllis Newman... This storyline is primarily to focus on Nikki and how she will change and use TGVN's tactics to accomplish what she wants.... I dislike Nikki, but I am glad that they are giving Melody an actual storyline that she can sink her teeth into.

    •  Yeah, he is still dressed like Martin. He looks great, though.  Cute picture. Sober up, cause we need the tea.
    • Well, Claire did rig Rick's test results, but it was to flunk. They actually managed to get his correct results back after they were thrown into Cedar's furnace...I think? Everyone knew Claire changed them and Rick passed so that rewrite never made sense.   I agree. Pratt always seems "edgy" on screen (and her Locker Room interview prooved that it came from her personality.) I liked Claire causeing trouble and love Meta ringing her beads. Its just too bad that Abby left and they kinda just forgot Claire existed.
    • Oh so they did sleep together. The retcon was just the medical boards? That makes sense. I think Susan Pratt, while a good actress, was just an unlikeable presence onscreen and soaps wrote to that most of the time. There was some potential for more with her when she returned in that stint, as Pratt was at least interesting to watch and caused some conflict for the stifled Bauers. Instead of pairing her with Alan and then disappearing I might have had her hook up with Danny. I think there was a lot of flirtation with Bolger's Philip, but they never crossed the line.
    • I haven't seen Melchior in the role, but it would be astounding if she's worse than Linn. Her rivalry with Stephanie was sidelined IMO because Linn was one of the few actors who didn't have chemistry with, nor raise her game, when paired with Susan Flannery. To be fair, she did show some signs of life in scenes opposite Darlene Connelly, but way too little too late. It feels like Bell finally woke up after the Thorne switchover and sidelined the Kristin character with Mick to 1 or 2 appearances a week. As a result, the show improved by leaps and bounds after she was inexplicably at the center of the show for most of 1989. Margo is so much more enjoyable when not tied to that albatross. Even Clarke is watchable with less Kristin interaction. She can't exit stage left soon enough. As for the new Thorne, I agree that Norcross feels like a Forrester a lot more than Thrachta, even if the latter is a better actor.
    • The cast said that scenes were filmed over a few weeks, with a preplanned hiatus in the middle, and it was all out of order.  I would *guess* that they used Chandler when they could get him? They also had to work around Leo Howard getting married around the time these episodes were filmed, but I guess they worked it out since Tate appeared.
    • Maybe there was a scheduling conflict or something. He still has the full time 9-5 in Atlanta, right? Julie was there. Idk if Maggie’s gonna be a part of it though
    • At this point, the best nonpaywall coverage of Los Angeles (and anything political)  is in...the Tennessee Holler https://bsky.app/profile/thetnholler.bsky.social And as always, emptywheel continues to be consistent https://bsky.app/profile/emptywheel.bsky.social
    • Today Monday was the start of people arriving at the funeral, but the service hasn't started yet.  I know this is the nonspoiler thread but I think it's okay to say (in nonspecific terms) that the funeral episodes span a few days.  I won't detail it more here. Just sayin' keep watching.
    • Why am I only now hearing about what happened in L.A., lol?
    • While I agree that Reeves is Jennifer, I honestly do prefer Cady McClain in the role, as I feel she had/has a wider range of acting capabilities than I feel Reeves has. It's the strength of an actor, ultimately, for me, regardless of how I feel about Reeves' political/social views (which I widely disagree with). Plus, not to mention, they costumed Reeves like an old-fashioned frumpy farm/Moron wife, while McClain had some fashion-forward moments.
