I'm kind of sick of the special "theme" episodes, but you'd think maybe #13000 would have rated something a little "special".

It was great seeing Lucinda...but the rest was very forgettable. And *rolleyes* spare me the fuzzy Willen lovefest.

I wasn't disturbed regarding the scenes between Emily and Alison.

Emily knew that Ali wouldn't do it. I think it rbought a whole new level of understanding between Emily and Alison. I loved it when Emily said "It proves that you're still you".

I think that, in all of this, Emily's just trying to prove that Alison isn't who she says that she is now. She is and always will be the same person inside, underneath that tough bravado that she puts on. I think Emily knows that Alison has changed, but she's trying to show Alison that she can still be a changed person without having to actually change herself overall as a person.

I do wish, though, that Marne had watched a few tapes of Jessica Dunphy in the role of Alison. J.D. had fun with the role and made Alison seem so carefree and vivacious and laid back. However, Marne just has this cocky, brown-nosing, stuck up attitude that makes Alison come off like a snob, prude, arrogant, and everything else in between.

I say all that because I read in an interview how Marne said she didn't want to (and didn't) watch any episodes with J.D. as Ali, saying that she wanted to make the role her own and not conform to what had been previously portayed. And while I'm all for diversity, I think Alison is a character that you just have to go by the skin of your teeth with. She's a tricky character to play and J.D. nailed it. Marne needs to try and pick up some of what J.D. left off with. Or else I'm afraid Marne (and subsequently) will completely re-characterize Alison as a whole in the process of trying to make Marne's portrayal of Alison more unique.

I'm going on only reading recaps b/c I haven't watched, but I think Emily, while knowing she's being hypocritical, views herself as a lost cause, but Ali isn't, so she's going way overboard (which won't work more than likely) to try and keep Ali on the right track, and that whole strip thing was part of it.

I thought the Em/Ali "strip" scene was borderline stupid, that's why I didn't comment on it. Emily was so talking out her ass, you would have thought she was the one on drugs. Honestly, when the big threat between two grown women is "I'm calling MOM and telling her everything", SOMEONE should have tossed that scene in the trash and rewritten it.

I so can't wait for Ali to find out Em was a whore, so she can blast her into next month.

And I'm glad that nuAli didn't look at JD's tapes. Ali is now tougher and harder edged. The writers have at least attempted to show us why. I don't see what benefit looking at JD's tapes would have been. I think nuAli's got chemistry with KMH and MM in the family department, so it'll all work out as the story progresses.

Okay I just got done seeing todays show and I feel like I have to say this. But I get the feeling that I'm NOT watching the same show you guys are watching because I loved todays episode. Whats even more shocking however is that the HIGHLIGHT of the show for me was Emily and Alison (Dusty was fun to watch as well). OMG the scene in Susan's house where Emily told Alison she could leave but had to leave her clothes behind? CLASSIC! And then Alison launched into that rant about how porn is a professional business and you could see the tension and the emotion between the two of them. I'm REALLY starting to love this new Alison and I'm wondering if Dunphy could have pulled this type of storyline off at all. And then when Emily offered her sister $1,000 to strip I was just blown away. Thats drama right there. I loved how Alison started to but just couldn't go thru with it. That definitely shows that shes, "still human" and that theres hope for her yet. Awesome acting all around and I like how the storyline is progressing day by day. Dusty is also an added bonus whom I'm looking forward to seeing as opposed to when he was with boring Lucy (can we PLEASE have Peyton List come back?).

Paul and Meg were cute. I love how Paul has clearly changed and yet he can still be dark and twisty. I don't see whats so appealing about having Paul be completely evil. Hes not an evil man just like Simon is not the "bad guY" people make him out to be. There just misunderstood and it takes the right and special woman to get to them. Anyways I can't wait to see what Paul has in store for Craig and I hope he doesn't hurt Emily or Alison in the process though.

Lucinda was hilarious and awesome. Loved how she told Meg to poison Craig. I actually believe her too when she said she wanted it done. Can't wait to see her team up with Paul and Meg. However did something happen inbetween when she first talked to Meg and when she came back to the farm telling Meg to poison Craig? I guess that was a scene that they didn't post on the website. Either way though very powerful stuff. I wish she'd give Paul a chance. All this anger towards him makes me feel uncomfortable since Paul really isn't the bad guy here.

All in all I think it was a great episode for ATWT 13,000th.

Good Grief, Dusty, SHUT THE [!@#$%^&*] UP! Seriously. Why is he involved with Alison? I'm sick of seeing his damn mug where it's not needed.

Emily is a hypocrite!!!! Stripping scenes were stoooooooooooooopid.

Dude... I'm sensing Cleo might end up dead and Gwen takes the fall.

Oh, I knew that Emily knew that Ali wouldn't go through with it but before Alison actually decided not to, there was a whole lot of, "OMG, could she actually do it???" It made for a really dark scene despite the fact that we now know that there is still some of that old Ali underneath all that tough bravado.

I liking Marnie so far but I do agree that she does make Alison come off as too much of a snob. Alison has been a brat but never a snob. I do think that they are writing Ali so much better now than during most of JD's tenure which is why I would love to see what JD would have done with the material we're seeing now.

I thought the whole, "I'm telling mom" thing was pretty much in character and stayed true to Em & Ali's relationship. Ali acts like an adult but she is still a child in so many ways and Emily knows it. And I guess, at this point, Alison cares deeply about what Susan thinks about her.
