Could Kimberlin Brown (Sheila Carter) be coming to ATWT?

However, if Sheila comes to town to kill a certain blonde ex-cheerleader...I reserve the right to change my opinion.

Paging Katie Peretti!! While she as at it she can take down Brad too!

NO!

What the hell happened to individualism in daytime? This is part of the problem. There are no individual soaps with individual casts in individual locales because everyone is cross-pollinating like mad. ABC used to be the problem child. But now Barbara Bloom has taken a bad idea from her old network and implemented it on another network. What-the-hell-ever!

How about using ATWT characters?

I think it's brilliant! I'd love to see her mix it up with an entirely different canvas. And for those who are asking for a connection: Michael Baldwin has been known to cross over to ATWT now & then. So the setup is there...

Yeah but Michael's crossover was nothing huge in terms of ground breaking storyline. He went to represent Jack in the JJ custody. I mean that being the reason Shelia comes to Oakdale means little to nothing! Shelia is not needed in Oakdale, they have their own version of a crazy villianess bitch, her name is Barbara Ryan!

I wouldn't compare Barbara to Sheila. Though it was fun to watch, that was kind of a misstep during Hogan's tenure: PsychoBabs. I prefer b!tchy Babs to psycho Babs.

I know that Michael didn't have some huge story on ATWT- my point was that he's been there. He knows characters on the ATWT canvas. There's a connection there.

I don't think this as a bad of an idea as people are making it out to be. Business-wise and ratings-wise, it would be a very good move for ATWT. If they integrated Sheila properly, ala B&B, it could really work.

And I refuse to believe that JPiss has much longer with ATWT....

No, I think it means that Sheila never had plastic surgery and "Pheila" was an imposter (or Sugar).

I'm all for Sheila going to ATWT, 100%....but I'm not sure how it would work for people who only watch ATWT. Because Y&R watchers will be wondering who Pheila was/where Sheila has been, but sole-ATWT watchers won't care. It's a difficult task for the writers.

    • I really have no problem with Kai as a character or with the actor. The problem is putting together two very nice people -- Kai and Trina. Neither of them has a bad side, neither of them has a devil on the shoulder, neither of them is impulsive. I think that's a problem in a soap relationship. Yeah, I agree. All this freaking out might make sense if Lulu wanted to do a tabloid expose on BLQ's LOVE CHILD. We have no indication that's the case.
    • So Sonni would have somebody to talk to who she wasn't conspiring with (Will or Alan)? Alex kept telling Sonni how important her friends were...when she had virtually no friends. Instead they created loyal servants like Jane and Vera to give Alex people to play off of. They did that with Iris on AW, but Vivien was mostly there for comic relief Alex keeping Marah's paternity a secret was absurd. But I still love the scene between Alex and Alan where he convinces her by reminding her how they protected each other from their abusive father. Chris and Bev ATE that scene. Unfortunately, that took place only a few months before he exited the show...always thought they could have built on that, explored more how being Brandon's children screwed them both up. Maybe even used it as an explanation for the way their relationship could constantly swing from hatred to love. Instead of it being merely dictated by the plot.
    • The first one is Cass Winthrop dressed as Krystle Lake on Another World (not from his original creation of the character to hide from the loan shark Tony the Tuna, but at a romance convention trying to find out what had happened to Felicia who was missing). The second one is also Another World, Jake McKinnon as Doris although I don't recall what his purpose was.
    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
