I just can't wait for the press release :D

I agree. GH is fairly watchable. I wish they'd use the vets a bit more and be a tad more balanced, but I really don't hate it like some do.

Not to get off topic, but the only thing that bothers me alot on GH is that Jason is always the hero, seriously he should just don the tights and cape and get it over with

GH is completely unwatchable. It's much worse than the rest. I tried to sit through a little yesterday and was horrified at just how bad the crap they're throwing on the air actually is. It was by far the worst writing I've ever sat through. But I couldn't take it for long and shut the awful mess off. Honestly I have to admit some of the acting especially by the young actors was also less than stellar.

Amanda Beall is not all that great. I don't understand all the raves.

Scott Hamner & Margaret DePriest may be complex but they know how to write which is a lot more than I can say about some of these people. Margaret was able to put out stories which kept me watching with great fascination which in the current state of a lot of the soaps (awful, worse, and horribly unwatchable) is something to be said.

No offense to you GH fans, really, I feel your pain, but damn. Can we please have on day/night to revel in this? It's been soooooooooooo long in coming. We've suffered just as much under MMT, and this is our turn to finally score a victory against the horrible writing that plauges Daytime. I hope GH and OLTL are next, I really do. But this is the AMC fans moment, please let us off have it. :D

*steps off soap box"

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!LMAO

I'm glad AMC fans are FINALLY getting some good news, for a change. Y'all deserve it after all the crap McTavish has put you through.

So once again, CONGRATS!!! :)

QUOTE(cal3 @ Oct 8 2006, 10:34 PM)

That acutally frightens me more considering the infamous SN interviews where Frons talked about training viewers, the departures from AMC and OLTL and the new contract and focus on ME. If those are the decisions of the new regime, it's over.

QUOTE(Errol @ Oct 8 2006, 10:05 PM)

There is no new regime. The only thing going on now is that ABC is taking a more hands on role with ABC Daytime, as they did with ABC News in 1998/1999. Brian Frons is the boss, but now his bosses are more active in his decisions. They may not oversee what he says to the press, but they are now overseeing what WILL happen at ABC Daytime in the next 6 months. It won't happen overnight, but in six months, things SHOULD be good at ABC Daytime again, with ratings hopefully climbing.

I'm still waiting for a reason to tune back into ABC. AFAIC OLTL is as bad as it ever was and Calavett (sp) is as much a part of the disaster as Hackley. Good news for AMC but OLTL IMHO is as bad as it was six months ago, if not worse.
