Days: Willow is horrible!

You're right.

Too many filler scenes. The dialogue is nice, and it's good that the filler scenes are injected with different things to keep them interesting, but it's just not exciting. We need more high drama to balance the simple scenes.

They're definitely gonna have to amp it up a few notches if they want the ratings to rise.

I still watch everyday, but I am strating to get pissed as well King. For example, some action was on todays show but I wasn't really into the scenes. I can't put my finger on it but I just didn't care and I am worried because I am one of DAYS biggest fans and no matter what period on DAYS I have watched it through thick and thin. I loved December and the first half of January, but right now the show is just BORING. Yes the day to day writing is much better, there aren't constant trinagles, the acting as a whole is better, not I am not that interested in the show. There really isn't anyone scheming, there isn't any affairs, some stories aren't shown enough(Lexie and Tek just disappearing into thin air, no fallout with Abe or anyone who supposedly cared for Lexie, Bonnie and the sack of bones saga comes on once a week so when its on I really don't have any anticiaption at ALL and frankly don't care because the SL is barely on, not to mention the lack of airtime for some characters I really enjoy like Bo and Hope, Marlena, Victor hasn't been on much at all even though he should be considering he has been obsessed with getting Claire, and it would be nice to see Kate and Billie more often outside of their kids lives.) I could go on and on and Hogan has had more than enough time ti move some of these stories along. Is DAYS ever going to have a big event again, thats what thing that I could always depend on with DAYS but the last 2 years there havent been mnay BIG events. Plus not many people in Salem seem worried that Belle and Shawn are on the run, its rarely mentioned. To me it seems like some characters are getting back into their own little bubbles again. I really hate being so negative about the show right now because I really adore DAYS, but right now its a snoozefest. Do something Hogan!

I actually Like willow

what I really hate is how everybody at the brady family are thinking they are better then her because she is a hooker.umm, kimberly anyone? while AB might not be the best actress on the show, the character has a great potential and her craziness and 'who cares,I'm crazy' attitude are great IMO.

But that is what I have a problem with. Not because I really never liked Shelle together but because(and Keith feels this way too and has said this) of all the history with John, Bo, and the Brady's when they thought he was Roman. They thought he was him for years until it was re-written and still consider him a family member. I would take Shawn and Belle over Max and Chelsea, but it's just history that makes me not enjoy them(along with the fact they were so frontburner when they started to become Shelle)

As for Days it does need to step it up a little bit. And what I mean by that is end this on the run story because it is getting old. I am not saying every story needs to be as fast as snapping your fingers but I feel we could be seeing a little more of vets. And we have gotten to see Bo/Hope lately but not much more than before. Days tapes four weeks ahead right? That would mean they taped these past few weeks sometime in Janurary. That would possibly explain Drake's absence. Because in Janurary he had to deal with that crazy attacker and mabye wanted to spend some time with his family for a little while until they feel safe without him there while he is at work. Peter and Kristian could be getting a break too just because they were HEAVILY featured the past few months and even the past year. But I do think Hogan needs to do something new with the stories that are frontburner. I mainly am speaking of Shelle because the on the run story has been getting tiresome. Nick/Chelsea I am enjoying and I think from spoilers they have some good stuff coming. Steve/Kayla with John now kidnapped and the recent episode with John's kidney I think some good stuff could come for them and EJ as well because of this story.

How do you know it's not true?

How many Days boards do you frequent? How many people do you talk to about Days?

I am not trying to convince everyone of anything. Just stating my view that is based on what I observed. Doesn't mean you have seen the same opinions or that you think the same.

I am just going to stop commenting in this thread and agree to disagree.

IA with what you said. I've been saying it for weeks and pretty much echo your feelings, along with King's. I never thought I would feel this disheartened with DAYS, I have no drive to watch it.

And it is not because of the Big 4. People keep mentioning that. Outside of their lack of storyline, there is not anything going on on DAYS! There has been storyline hault, lack of progress of storylines and A LOT of stalling and going around in circles. Storylines went out the window and FAST. DAYS LOST all of its momentum. OLTL and GH took their momentum with one storyline and allowed it to progress into others. December's who shot John storyline could have become something BIG, WITHOUT Drake (since the excuse here is that Drake had "personal problems"), Drake wasn't even needed for this to become an explosive search for EJ, the person that shot him and the aftermath of his being an invalid. No one has even reacted to it. Shawn and Caroline haven't even visited John. Everyone has acted like nothing has happened. And EJ's storyline, which was explosive has now become boring. This WAS an Umbrella storyline spanning involvement in many of the show's CORE characters and now it has once again simmered down to Sami and Steve. Boring...

And Nick may have an online fanbase, but it is not translating into viewers for the show. THAT is what mattered. The ratings have not rose and I am not a fan of him, at least not in this over blown state. I hate it when new writers introduce their characters and make them instant heroes and instant front burner characters. Hogan has been doing this with Nick since day one (him being the reason Steve and Kayla found a cure, GAG). There may be a lot of fans for him but they are not translating into support for this show and they shouldn't be. He shouldn't be on so much. He is a Horton by distant lineage and old and new viewers can't even acknowledge that since he just landed on the show and said he was Maggie's newphew or something. If the show wanted to establish this and make old viewers accept him more they should have had his parents come with him for a few episodes. GH does this all the time and it works. Willow is on a lot, no matter how you put it and it is obvious that the show is trying to make her something bigger than she is. These are two new characters that have been her for a while and have replaced airtime for familiar faces that could be written for (and I'm NOT talking about the big 4).

While DAYS isn't super-duper exciting right now, I am surprised so many people have given up on it. After Langan, Dena and JER, NOW it's too much to take? I don't get it. But that is just me. Everyday is watchable and real for me; I guess the show has become a different kind of soap that its current fans aren't used to.

A lot of DAYS current fans came in during the 90s where Reilly excelled and DAYS was can't miss television. The outrageous plots, the classic love stories, the action, that was what current DAYS fans loved. It's what brought them in. Hogan has come in and taken the show back to 70s where true character development is the drama. There aren't outside forces creating the drama anymore. He's turned the show into a real soap opera, not the parody that we've been watching for the past 15 yars.

    • 1976 Pt 12 Final part Laurie agrees with Stuart that Peggy is rushing into marriage to prove that the rape didn’t ruin her life.  She points out that the only way Peg can be sure is to make love with Jack before the wedding. Stuart admits she’s right but points out that he can’t suggest that to Peggy. As the wedding approaches, Peg seems happy that Jack’s become close to the family. However, her happiness is shattered by a nightmare in which her loving bridegroom turns into a leering Ron Becker, forcing her to cancel the wedding. Jack reassures her he’ll wait as long as it takes, and Chris confides that she and Snapper didn’t consummate their marriage on their wedding night because of her own rape experience, but Peggy tells Chris she might never be ready.  Despite her desire to keep Karen as her own daughter, Chris helps a police artist create a sketch of Nancy so it can be printed in the newspaper as part of a search for her. When the attempt proves fruitless, however, Chris asks Greg to file application for permanent custody of the child. Greg points out that adoption is the only way to prevent Ron from returning and claiming the child, and that it will take quite a while. Meanwhile, a nurse in the psychiatric ward sees a resemblance  between the newspaper drawing and her autistic patient, Mrs. Jackson, but since “Fran” doesn’t respond to the name Nancy and no one else sees the similarity, she fears she’s mistaken. Jill is horrified to overhear Kay, when brihging baby Phillip a Christmas gift, telling the child she remembers the night he was conceived. Kay has to then admit to Jill she saw her with Phillip in the bunkhouse that night. Jill is aghast to realize that Kay new the truth all along and put her through such agony in spite of it, denying her baby his father’s name. Lance tells Laurie they’ll marry on Valentine’s Day. He laughs that it’s corny but agrees, secretly wishing it were sooner, as Vanessa has vowed to prevent it. Indeed, Vanessa makes an unprecedented venture out of the house to visit Brad, telling him to rebuff any advance Leslie might make to him, as she’s reaching out to him only from a sense of duty. But Laurie then makes a concerted effort to reach Vanessa. Without being sure why she’s trying so hard, she tries to assure the woman she’s not losing Lance and she, Laurie, will help her find a plastic surgeon somewhere who can help her. Grudgingly, Vanessa seems to be reconsidering her view of Laurie, and Laurie is delighted when Lance offers her a choice between two diamond necklaces, explaining that her preference will be Vanessa’s Christmas gift. Learning from Les about Brad’s blindness, Stuart tells Brad he could have turned Leslie away only out of great love. Knowing that Les is going to see Brad again, Laurie warns him not to bring the baby into their discussion, as Leslie will come back only she’s convinced he loves her, not for the babies sake. Leslie finds Brad disheveled and sloppy, and proceeds to straighten the apartment, stating that she can't respect him if he lets himself go. Realizing that neither Brad nor Les will make the first move, Laurie hurries things along by refusing to help Brad with his grooming, saying he should ask his wife. Then, having learned  that Brad offered Les the use of their piano, Laurie untunes the Brooks' piano forcing Leslie to accept his offer. By refusing to cater to his  blindness, Les manages to get Brad to stop wallowing in pity, and by the time Leslie’s Christmas braille message of her love and her need for him arrives, they are husband and wife again Lance takes Laurie on a business trip on New Year's Eve, and tells her, on board his plane, she won't be  won't be able to call him “Mr. All Talk and No action” after tonight. When Laurie protests that waited this long and will continue to wait until married, Lance delights her by instructing his pilot to land in Las Vegas, where they are married immediately.
    • Yeah, not sure why Jack and Jen didn’t rush to Marlena - or even Carrie - to offer their condolences. A few flashbacks would've been a nice touch too. Instead, we got a whole episode of them talking about Chad and Abby? Come on. On the bright side, I loved Anna’s scenes with Marlena and Carrie - sweet and heartfelt, felt like a real 80s throwback.
    • Martin and Smitty were designed to avoid the stereotype of gay men sleeping around (which to an extent is true). If you recall Martin had a line about them not being open when Chelsea came to talk to him. The producers are walking a very fine line right now and it might not be popular to say but I can understand it. Establishing enough footing to ward off complaints will let them showcase gay characters more openly later.
    • The week was decent. They have started to rotate their stories and finally got a rhythm going. I disagree about them allowing every character to have a moment to shine though. Nicole really hasn't been given anything to do. I completely agree with all this. I adore Doug and hope he makes it through.

    • There was the one appearance in '96, but otherwise, that's correct as far as I know.

Question for the B&B group: I see @rsclassicfanforever has uploaded multiple seasons from Videoland  (in the folders that are to be put away). They are huge folders and difficult to download so I started breaking them down into months but I realized they are by season so for example, Season 4 spans from March 1990 to March 1991. Now I'm wondering where to actually place them, since we have the Full Episodes section divided by year, not seasons. And most of these seasons we already have in full, so these are duplicates. Not sure if it's necessary to keep the older versions. I could just make another new section for Seasons, so the main folders would be "Behind the Scenes and Interviews," "Clips," "Full Episodes," "Full Seasons," "Music CDs," and "photo archive Marquise" but I'm not sure that really makes sense. Also wondering since we have almost every full episode now if "Clips" can be deleted in its entirety, as it's nearly 300GB.
    • CBS moving Murder, She Wrote from Sunday to Thursday was straight up sabotage. Les Moonves knew exactly what he was doing.
