Well, Erica does sort of resemble the Evil Queen from Snow White. Lol
But I suppose it could be a few elements - an affluent, charming hamlet (Pine Valley), which has much snobbery (think Belle's village from Beauty and the Beast), many Gothic-inspired storylines - particularly "Natalie in the Well." That plot had it all: Wicked Sister; Damsel in Distress (literally imprisoned); she was rescued by a "Prince" (Count) and taken to his castle (Wildwind); a super intelligent creature (Harold the Dog). There was even a talking Mirror!!
Then there's the Family Album with the Old English font, which resembles a story book.
Perhaps Julia's Cinderella dress, which was made by the mice in Noah's dingy tenement apartment (J/k!!).
