Passions would be number one. I wouldn't care about the other soaps.

I don't think AMC deserves to be in anyone's top 5. I know its fans still love the show, but it is in a badddd place right now. I def. think it should be in the bottom three soaps across the board.

Well, the only thing people do on a thread like this is rank the soaps in order of personal preference. I doubt anybody actually remains objective. Personally, I'm not going to do a list, because I never watch AMC, B&B, or Passions and therefore have no right to judge.

I only follow 4 shows.

1. DAYS- 5.0

2. ATWT- 4.8

3. B&B- 3.9

4. PSNS- 2.1

I was objective. If I were doing preference, DAYS and GL would probably be my top two.

I'm only gonna do the ratings for the shows I watch.

Y&R: 5.6

Days: 4.9

GH: 4.6 (subject to change after sweeps)

AMC: 2.5

OLTL: 2.4

8. DOOL: 1.2

DO YOU even know that JER stopped writing for the show? OR know about the [s.W.S.N.B.N.] stuff? Or even care?

It's simply your wet dream that you get AW back on the air, a show you admitted you only watched nine or so months of before it was canned!

Let him post in peace and then if you don't like what he has to say disregard it, It's really simple. You people are making an issue out of nothing and it's starting to get annoying as hell.

I know that JERk left. However, the bottom line is that, even with the improved writing, half of the cast still cannot act. Prehaps if that half of the cast was fired--and if those God-awful cheesy computerized ending freeze frames were dropped--would the show actually be decent.

And don't try to insuate that I know very little about AW because I only watched its first-run epiodes beginning in late 1998. (Prior to that time, I was still in high school, and arrived home after the soaps went off the air.) I actually know a lot about that show because I have watched the reruns for years and because I have spent a lot of time researching that show's history on Eddie's wonderful AW web page.

That's not true of my response, personally. I don't watch Y&R but, in any world, I know they'd be No. 1.
